This year, September 12th, is the Ethiopian New Year. It is claimed that this is the one timer per year that you can sometimes see the Star, inside the Crescent Moon, where it is supposed to be blackened out. Similar to what the flag of Islam portrays, with the Crescent and the Star. This is a rare event, but unfortunately it is very rainy where I am tonight, on the East Coast of USA. I don't swear that this is true, only trying to get feedback. curious cats

I live in SW New Mexico and it's likely not going to rain tonight where I am, but I checked when the moon rise is to go look and I'm kinda having a moment because weather.com is showing our local moon rise time to be at 6:12 am and the moon set time as 6:58 pm...if that isn't bassackwards I don't know what couldn't be. Harhar, in case it's a typo I'll still keep a look out... You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
