I first started following Rand Paul in the mid 90s when he founded the anti-tax/smaller government Kentucky taxpayer union . Looked into his past then and found out that the he had founded the North Carolina taxpayer union in 1991 with a message of lower taxes and smaller government .


Shook his hand once at a NORMAL rally outside of Lexington . Looked the man dead in the eye and I saw an honest man .

Since 1991 his position or message has not changed he has lived and breathed his word . How many guys on that stage last night could you apply that to?

When you listen to that first tape, the man's positions are what the majority of conspiracy theorist are calling for .



When they asked him last night what what his presidential Secret service code name should be. For his constant defense of the Constitution he should have said .............. PATRIOT!!!

I'm glad this thread was answered because he really did nail it this time for the libertarian conservatives here.

Rand Paul was forced to endorse Romney because Romney won the Republican candidacy. It's called politics. Rand would not be on the stage today if he didn't tow the line for the establishment Republicans back then.

And of course he didn't endorse his father. His father did not win the Republican nomination. It is expected that all Repubs endorse the supposed winner by the RNC. If Rand HAD NOT supported Romney then he would have no chance today.

You will have to become a little more sophisticated in how politics work if you wish to have a coherent view of the current political landscape.
