Both in defense of our rights . Natural news even sees his position. Explanation from Rand Paul ................ " I am an opponent of the FDA's war on natural foods and farmers. I've stood up for raw milk, hemp and natural supplements. I fought to take power AWAY from the government on these issues. So while there is evidence we should be concerned about GMOs, we should also be careful not to lose our constitutional perspective simply because the end result is one we may desire. That's what we fight against. That's what the statists do. Take a look at a pretty thorough rundown on the recent GMO amendment. Anonymous Coward User ID: 9416702 United States 09/18/2015 06:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Monsanto must be giving Rand campaign money. This is total B.S. Food companies routinely print labels. The requirement to label GMO foods doesn't cost anything and should in no way raise prices of this food. LIAR! It is the labels that say NON GMO that are costly because they have to jump through all the government hoops and pay all the fees to use that label. Putting the words "may contain GMO" is free to do. Rand Paul is being duplicitous. This makes me mad because not only are non gmo companies spending the extra $ to use quality ingredients, they have to spend even more just to get the right to label their food as such. Proof Rand Paul is sold out. |
