Oh he announced that Boeing is building a factory in China to produce the 737. Kiss those WA jobs away

They closed 20 miles of I5 for an hour during rush hour to drive this guy to Tacoma. Why they didn't use a helicopter is beyond me. Cheaper and wouldn't have disrupted so much today.

From what I gather. It's going to not be a manufacturing plant. But a delivery ready facility. Like where they do finishing touches, like paint and interiors. But it's all bull shit.

Since it was rush hour. Going to Tacoma from I-5. The motorcade could have split off I-5 before Fife and went Highway 509. That would have impacted 1,000s of less people.

But that would have made too much sense.

They'll have manufacturing there in no time, and blame it on pressure from the Chinese, they had to do it, the gun was to our head....

There were Boeing protesters too, in addition to the usual human rights protesters. They don't believe it either

Boeing had enough trouble keeping production on schedule when they started sourcing this and that from plants around the US.

What are they going to do when they are getting stuff from China?

China thinks QC is something companies talk about to look good, but putting it into practice is based on what is most expedient.

On time delivery? What's that?

Boeing quality and reliability will suffer, no doubt about it.

Keep the China connection long enough and they will turn Everett into a bus factory.

No so many people get to see a helicopter. No motorcade? How plebian.
