Woah this is 10 mins north of my house. I might have to take a drivr up there this weekend to see if they blocked it off to the public. There is An ROTC school at sandy hook my sister attended and also a coast guard station if I remember correctly. Very odd. Also keep in mins New York City is just a stones throw across the inlet there also. Have been also been seeing highway signs warning of "big events" in NYC this weekend. Been out here since noon. Drove around a bit before sitting here to read my book... Couldn't find those tents. However.... A single jet fighter just did a low and slow flight up the coast, and came directly over the center of the Hook. Couldn't quite tell the markings, but it was painted blue and white. Sorry, but didn't take a picture of it... Thing was gone before I could turn this thing on.
