Anyone know any good small investment/plays right now(1-10k) to make some quick money?

Acadia Pharmaceuticals (ticker - ACAD). Just submitted NDA and have been fast tracked for FDA approval. Should be $70+ by Feb 2016.

thanks bro for the advice, i am very interested. thing is ive never bought stocks. where do i ever get started buying stocks? if i bought 5k tomorrow of ACAD and it did go to 70 dollars by feb, how much would i make? thanks dude for the advice, i will seriously think about this.

I've used scottrade for several years now and have never had any issues. Based on the current numbers, $5000 would buy you around 140 shares at it current price of $34.15. So you would likely about double your money if all goes as planned.
There is also a good chance of a buyout which would likely be between $60-80 per share....But before you invest anything, of course do you own research. And you may be better off diversifying that $5000 into a few lower priced stocks. You can get some good deals right now due to the recent biotech selloff the last few weeks.

not alot of good advice on this thread so far, other then that stock, but damn, that would be a really big gamble for me to put money into that stock. i researched it, looks decent, but i honestly have no idea if that stock is going anywhere
