If the timeline for disclosure is holding, then I'll wager that we'll be given "hints at the possibility of fossilized micro-organisms". Similar to what they think they found in the meteorite in Antarctica, but this will be a little more conclusive.

Disclosure is still 100 years away at the least.

I vote for signs of life, ancient civilization -- perhaps something left behind which shows that the place used to be inhabited. They may not want to admit all of it right away, so they may try to do something simpler first, such as "microbial life" or "fossils" of something. With a whole planet having had life before it's only a matter of time till they find evidence of it AND evidence of what happened there. A nasty war doesn't just make things vanish without a trace, it merely buries it. So I think they found something about that there..... either way, can't wait.

Disclosure is way less than a hundred years away, try a decade or two. At the most. So we might as well be ready for it cause it's not only coming but it will change everything!

My actual 'serious' guess will be that they have discovered a high concentrated ratio of deuterium (heavy hydrogen) somewhere and will declare the location of an ancient ocean.
