United States 10/01/2006 04:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: help needed in plumbing Basin wrenches are hinged at the top and open up to fit all sizes. You might not have the clearance around the nut t fit the head of the wrench. You might have to remove the sink to get at it unfortunately. |

United Kingdom 10/01/2006 04:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: help needed in plumbing If you can, remove the pipework from the bend/'t' piece up to the tap. Soak the nut in WD40 or PlusGas overnight and then see if you can grip the nut enough to turn it.
It is possible the nut and pipework were fitted to the sink before installation if there is very little room. In that case you will need a thin wall box key (spanner) to fit over the outside of the nut which you can do if you have removed the pipe. good hardware shop or plumbers' merchant should have one.
Hope this makes sense |

Then go down to your hardware store and buy a new facet. |
