Hi OP - not trying to derail your thread, but I suspect there is a lot more to this "hurricane", and it's related to a ley line that runs up the coast and through Charleston. Thanks for spotting the radar cross. I definitely see it :-))

Let us envision this geographical area as it was in ancient times. A great pyramid or temple from Atlantean or pre-Atlantean times may have stood on the site which is now Independence Hall (IN PHILADELPHIA, PA). The energies emanating from this site are very powerful, as tremendous as the energies found at Stonehenge, England or at the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt.

And no wonder! No less that six ley lines emanate from a point marked by the cracked flagstone between Independence Hall and the Commodore Berry statue. One of the lines runs northwest through the Art Museum, Belmont Plateau, and on towards the Valley Forge Park area. Another extends itself southward through Cape May and eventually towards Egypt. And a third runs southwest and actually reaches Chichen Itza, Mexico.

The ley lines that connect in Philadelphia, PA actually CONENCT to the MAYAN temples in Chichen Itza Mexico to the south and EGYPTIAN pyramids to the east!

You DO know that America was built on LEY LINES correct? They got this from the British colonists and early major American cities were built off these patterns:

Set out around London is a geometric pattern that includes triangles and alignments or 'ley lines' that generates London's sacred landscape.

Statement as of 4:32 am EDT on October 3, 2015


... Potential for a life threatening and historic rainfall event
this weekend...

Rain will continue to develop across the western Carolinas and
northeast Georgia today and should continue periodically through
Sunday. Bursts of heavy rain are likely... with rainfall rates
peaking during the daylight hours today. The heavy rain may
result in significant flooding along creeks and streams across the
region. Storm total rainfall amounts of five to ten inches are
possible by Sunday night. A band of ten to twelve inches could
fall somewhere across the western Carolinas. If this amount of
rain happens... life threatening flash floods could take place.

Recent rainfall over the past week has raised the threat of slope
failures and landslides should the high terrain experience high
rainfall rates. Storm total rainfall amounts of five to ten
inches are possible by Sunday night. Locally higher amounts are
possible near the Blue Ridge... where the most rain fell within the
last week. Rainfall of five inches or more in similar storms has
been associated with an increased risk of landslides and
Rockslides. Landslides... including fast moving debris flows
consisting of water... mud... Falling Rocks... trees... and other
large debris... are most likely within small valleys that drain
steep slopes.

Frequent wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph could knock down trees
weakened by saturated soil. This could result in scattered power
outages.

During the storm:

1. Never try to drive across a flooded Road. Potential hazards to
drivers include washed-out roads... bridges... and falling or
flowing large debris. Turn around... don't drown!

2. Immediately move away from steep slopes and small streams in
steep valleys. Seek Refuge on higher ground away from streams...
preferably in a sturdy shelter.

3. Stay alert. Flash flooding could develop very quickly in urban
areas where water runs off more rapidly.

4. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or local media for the latest
warnings and statements regarding this potentially dangerous weather
event.

I'm almost due west of charlotte 30 minutes. Power flickered on and off.....finally out since 8:30am. Firing up the generator now for coffee and fridge. The wind is the the worst I think. Everything is saturated and heavy. Lots of power outages will happen. Were on a hill, water isn't an issue now. Have to conserve my phone battery. Stay safe ya'll.

A "fire rainbow" spotted end of August at Isle of Palms SC made the local news - was seen for about 30 minutes. Nice Pic in link.
