oopsbrokethatone User ID: 7017125 United States 10/04/2015 05:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | im not sure what type of grass hopper it was, maybe a gypsy one. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70396358 but watch this. 5*\ That was amazing, the time it took and the intensity of color. The chameleon even copied the three colors in segments. How those guys interpret what color even is and imitates the color is mind blowing. I don't believe in accidents. That first insect was beautiful too. How does nature arrange color schemes? Why do we have rods and cones in our eyes to see colors? Which came first, the colors or our ability to see colors? |

Also scientists just discovered chameleons use layers of nano scale crystals that can vary their distance apart beneath the color pigment cells, to interfere with the light rays to tune the light reflected back so that its a certain color, whats more it has another layer of bigger crystals beneath those that reflect infra red light, which is thought to help them keep cool in the direct sunlight. |

Why does this guy have so many different colored Ray Ban's first of all, and I would really like to understand how the Chameleon's body is able to detect color and change accordingly. Think about it, This shirt feels purple stripey on my stomach while my shoes feel orangey polka dots, I don't match today. |
