Two terrifying movies to prepare you for the unthinkable.
This first movie was made in the UK in 1984. Over half of the movie shows how the exploding of the nuclear weapons is just the start of horror.
Most people will die in the 10 years following the nuclear war.

The second is the tv movie classic The Day After, which still holds the record for the most watched tv movie , over 110 million watched this movie the first time it was shown.
Almost half of this movie shows what happens in the first few months after the nuclear war.

I hope to God these movies stay works of fiction!

Great flicks. I remember those days, the cold war, waiting for the mushroom cloud on the horizon. Scary times.

Today, we're more likely to ge killed by our own cops, our "food" & water, or vaccinations.

Either way we're all dead in ten years. Once they perfect robot replacement labor, the bulk of the human population will be obliterated like the horse when the automobile arrived.

A few humans will be kept around to abuse or used as sex slaves, organ donors or whatnot, but rest assured our days are numbered.

Miracle Mile (1988)

When people know the end is coming, they loose it.

That's about my worst case scenario. Or, it could be like "Elysium" or "Blade Runner" where the poor slave away on the toxic shithole that the Earth has become, while the elite live in luxury off-planet.
