anyone else think they are living in a nightmare?
I'm beginning to question this world

my past memories seem to me like memories from a dream

I know last week happened, but so did my dream

if I want to.give a homeless man in NYC food, they won't let me leave with the food to.give to.the homeless man without paper or plastic payment

no matter the payment I can not leave the store without my.foods bar codes being scanned

the cars here smell and pollute, this wasn't the same as last week. last week cars were electric and they didn't harm.the world.

I'm wondering if anyone else there is living in a nightmare?

Leave NYC, no shame - come on south ya hear? It'll be all right, get ya job with a hammer and a nail, ain't a glourious job but it'll keep ya out of jail -

You'll get a nice little Chevy truck.
Meet a girl named Kayla who's grandparents own the local church.

Jessie at the convenience store knows you so well, he'll give ya credit.

Plus on Wednesdays - $1 BBQ sandwiches... mmm mmm - starting to feel like winter

LOW LAST NIGHT WAS 71!

Yes. Have an MA degree, a paralegal degree, can't find a better paying job, 37 years old, currently living at home. Brother is going through hell, mother is having heart surgery.

Hell yes. Trying to keep up hope and humor.

I live in the nightmare world where people like the OP think they're something other than what they are and that there really is Utopia and pink unicorns.

OP cut the dose you're letting your fantasies rule your mind and that can end up only one way, you're dissatisfied with your REAL life and we tired of you whining about Utopia!!!

GROW THE FUCK UP AND LIVE IN THE PRESENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I can't blame OP for feeling the way he/she does. I can understand the people that dream of this other place where this shit doesn't go on and people actually have peace, happiness and calm in their life. Sometimes I have those feelings but I'm always quick to dismiss it because it seems like such a dream.

I've been posting on other threads about how frustrated I am with this pointless nonsense. I thought of a good example on another thread and it's one I think I'll stay with as long as I post on this forum. If there is a point to all of this, why does our minds get wiped when we come into this world? Seriously, you don't know what this place is, why you're here, how to get out of here without dying out of here, what happens after death and a lot of other mysteries involving this existence. Wouldn't it make sense to know this stuff, do what you need to do in this world* and be able to leave it? How many times have we been in this world? What if we were this close to leaving this place once and for all, only to die and come back here with a clean slate and have to start all over on square one? It's so damn stupid. Anyway, my comparison comes in when it concerns the Super Mario games I used to play on the SNES when I was a kid. You could save your progress. Isn't it wild how a video game is better developed than this existence? At least you could save your progress and wouldn't have to start back on level one if you lost all your lives or the machine was turned off.

Again, I know a lot of people will say "Life is what you make of it" but I REALLY don't buy that. It would make sense if you were literally the only person in this world. But there's too many things, too many people to impact that "life is what you make of it" jazz.

It really surprised me when I saw so many making fun of the poster that posted a thread about how to get out of this place. I had posted a few times and a lot of what that person saying made sense. Would you willingly come back to this world again? Yes or no. I'd mentioned on that thread that I don't know how this stuff works. Idk if it's a roll of the dice and a person might end up as a very rich person in the next life or if you might end up as somebody that's beaten and abused by everybody surrounding that person. Idk. All I know is I sincerely doubt the few crumbs of joy you have in this life will stick with you in the next life. I realize people might bullshit that theory but I honestly have the feeling we keep coming back here. I don't think we came here of our own free will. I think we were lied to, manipulated and deceived into coming back over and over again.

I apologize for the wall of text.

I just can't shake the feeling that all of this is worth it. Even the very worst. One day we will look back and laugh with gratitude. There is a special reason. It doesn't even matter if I am wrong. I won't know the difference anyway.

Cant say much besides I fully agree with everything genuine said here. It's so sad. So, so sad. I wish we were free. I so wish that we could be free. I'm so sorry.

Re: anyone else think they are living in a nightmare?
I keep trying to figure out when it all went to shit. It feels like there was some kind of mass interference with everyones memories. Things have been inexplicably and mysteriously degenerating for quite a long time now. I am starting to doubt the "truth" of a lot of established things now. Stuff we thought was established, anyway.

Re: anyone else think they are living in a nightmare?
i did at first but then i had realized that some things are as bad as they seem to be, like how certain things are made in a way that is harmful to both people and the planet we live on.

honestly i just remember that good will always exist in spite of the things that seem to make attempts at eliminating it, things as simple as the sun giving me warmth or the supply of air that fills our lungs prove to be reminders of this.
