question??? how can one block replies to a thread?

Why would you want to block replies? Most on here think freedom of speech is a great thing.

They block specific users.

OP of threads can block you from posting on their thread if they're an upgraded member...

As an upgraded member, you can also ban people from your threads. These options are found on the bottom left of each post.

Also -- MODS can "lock" a thread so that further replies are not allowed.

It's called a "locked thread"
