Why Is George Bush Senior Talking About Aliens If He Doesn't Know About Anything?

I noticed a lot of retired politicians and military men start talking about aliens when the get old and feeble.

Maybe for the same reasons that so many people have such strong opinions on homosexuality when they know nothing about it. If you are not gay, how could you possibly know anything about gays?
