Do any of you live without social media?

No social media, and I've never had any social media accounts.

There's only a handful of people I care to communicate with, and I do it via text and phone. I rarely even use my email, only for appts, scheduling, or ordering stuff.

There's too much other shit in life to focus on, than stupid Facebook crap.

My old lady uses them to get tons of free(to us) stuff. Almost everyday coupons,samples,pre-loaded credit cards, full sized items come in the mail. I use twitter and other social media for info about things I'm interested in and to keep up with what my kids are doing when they aren't at home. They have there uses.

What would u call GLP, it's a social news(information) forum, so no, if u are here, u aren't living without social media.

I do now. Still have a facebook to keep up with far away friends and family because they all refuse to use anything else, but I don't post anymore, just have a quick scroll maybe once a fortnight, more atm as my sister in law is due to give birth any day.

I pretty much live like a hermit because I don't have the patience to deal with normies, and for a while I thought facebook was great because it allowed me to communicate with folks but unplug when it got tiresome. Then I realised it was PERMANENTLY tiresome. Turns out I can't stand normies online any more than I can in real life. Bunch of mindless baboons.

And what's wrong with sharing information with people from all over the world. It's quite empowering if done the right way and intent to learn and grow with others.

no, this is a discussion board. Here we arent concerned about your vacation, we dont want to see your pics, we dont need to know what your favorite food is, we dont give the first fuck what your relationship status is, we dont need to know about your professional career, you likings or your leanings.

Even the paid members with screen names are just that, screen names. Those screen names usually dont even offer hints as to your true identity. There is no way i can look at someones screen name and determine their name is mike smith, they work at wal mart, they drive a honda, they are married to sally, their favorite drink is dehydrated water or any other particular about each account.

This is far from social media. The fact you confuse the two means you have much to learn still.

Near the end of the month, people are almost giving things away. I won't take advantage of the poor by talking them down farther.
