First hint of 'life after death' found in biggest ever scientific study!!!! Inside an egg, of the human mother, there is a spark... The spark of life/light. Most humans are light beings made up of a light/soul that can never be destroyed. At death, the shedded body/vessel can rot away. Yet, the light/soul will remain and travel onward. Similar to stars... This light/soul moves from one dimension/place/plane/existence, and universe within the multiverse. The light/soul shines bright, goes dim, or glows. This is the afterlife... a never ending light/soul. |

First hint of 'life after death' found in biggest ever scientific study!!!! Sorry but I don't buy that the body just instantly stops, it takes hours for you to truly be "dead". These claims they make about what they know is stupid. There is no way to measure what brain activity could still be going on beyond what they use to "prove" as such. It's about money; they declare people dead way to quickly. If I just "die" out of nowhere with a perfectly healthy body I want to be left untouched for 72 hours before I be called done. That 72 hours costs money they don't want to spend. They are far more likely to try to save someone injured than someone who comes in whole. Then you are a more of a risk to be "dead". Never sign donor cards, ever. You may as well sign your own death certificate. The Strawman factor is involved to because the instant you are legally dead, they are cashing you out. It's all eugenics based; anything to check you out. There my be something after this dimension, but this isn't what proves it. |

As always theres a big sounding title but all this is about is clinical death on people the were revived and does wernt really really dead yet. This study doenst prove anything about an eternal afterlife. Just that theres more to 'life' than a <3beat and brainactivity.. Still cool tho. |

First hint of 'life after death' found in biggest ever scientific study!!!! First hint of 'life after death' in biggest ever scientific study Quoting: Digital mix guy Southampton University scientists have found evidence that awareness can continue for at least several minutes after clinical death which was previously thought impossible T 07 Oct 2014 Comments1193 Comments Death is a depressingly inevitable consequence of life, but now scientists believe they may have found some light at the end of the tunnel. The largest ever medical study into near-death and out-of-body experiences has discovered that some awareness may continue even after the brain has shut down completely. It is a controversial subject which has, until recently, been treated with widespread scepticism. But scientists at the University of Southampton have spent four years examining more than 2,000 people who suffered cardiac arrests at 15 hospitals in the UK, US and Austria. And they found that nearly 40 per cent of people who survived described some kind of ‘awareness’ during the time when they were clinically dead before their hearts were restarted. Out-of-body experience? You're just confused 18 Feb 2011 One man even recalled leaving his body entirely and watching his resuscitation from the corner of the room. Despite being unconscious and ‘dead’ for three minutes, the 57-year-old social worker from Southampton, recounted the actions of the nursing staff in detail and described the sound of the machines. [link to www.telegraph.co.uk] A collection of anecdotes based on people's perceptions is not scientific evidence by any stretch of the imagination. By the same burden of proof, we have 'scientific' evidence that leprechauns are real. Here's the thing; We have no idea what the process of dying does to one's perception of reality, and time. For example the last second of brain life, as consciousness begins to fade, could be experienced by the person as a much longer timescale than it actually is. Sounds, speech, movement in the room may still be subtly perceived on a subconscious level. Ever play the knockout game? Ever see someone get choked out and then wake up? The initial seconds when the blood rushes back into your brain often involves delusion and confusion. It is quite possible that the entire 'life after death' experience happens as the brain is dying, but most likely happens as the brain is coming back to life. If you were to experience something after your brain dies, you would not be remotely aware of it when you came back to life, because your brain A) cannot encode memories while it is dead. B) if there was enough residual electricity flowing to maintain the memory encoding mechanisms, it makes the whole thing moot because then there is also enough residual electricity present to fabricate the experience, aka imagine or dream it happened. C) if your physical body did not experience this 'life after death, aka your physical eyes weren't looking at it, and your physical ears weren't hearing it, how in the world would your physical brain record memories of it? Don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with believing in some form of life after death. But if you think people's 'remembering' of life after death is evidence of it, well that is simply because you are a moron who knows jack shit about how anything works. |

First hint of 'life after death' found in biggest ever scientific study!!!! Great thread, OP! Have always been interested in this since I had an arrest as a child (and an NDE) while having an operation for a tonsillectomy. Something that your older readers might find very interesting...during the early 1950's thru 1960's (and even into 70's in some foreign countries) prior to sodium pentothol...the use of a really UNSTABLE anesthesia gas for operations was something called "ether"...AND it was routine...(get that? ROUTINE) for the medical staff to have a full "crash-cart" standing by for various kinds of "arrests" during the operation. Ether was a very difficult gas to control, especially with children, and there are estimates that up to 80% of children who had tonsillectomies during those years had some kind of near-death-experience due to being near death from the gas OR A COMBINATION of a physical allergy to ether and an over-dose. My own private doctor admitted to me and my husband in the 1970's that I was one of the lucky 80% to have "clinically died for several minutes" and brought back using the "paddles" (crash-cart.) I had a severe reaction to the ether, itself, as well has having been O.D.'d for the amount of gas--so mine was especially horrific. I was only 6 years old. (NO 6-year-old should have that kind of experience!) So, if you have memories of "strange dreams" or even suspect that you had a NDE in the 50-60-70's while having a tonsillectomy as a child--maybe they were NOT dreams at all, but an actual full-blown out-of-body experience! People who claim to experience out of body projections while alive only do it with the practice of meditation. So maybe death is the key. |

First hint of 'life after death' found in biggest ever scientific study!!!! Awareness could be a representation of quantum locality vs non-locality. In quantum, there exists potential, out of that potential arises localized existence. And this "quantum" principle, in my opinion, is simply one potential expression of a much deeper reality of the "will" to exist. The driver for consciousness is still yet unknown, but there are brilliant people investigating such things.
