On Saturday, California Governor Jerry Brown signed Assembly Bill 1461, the New Motor Voter Act, which will automatically register people to vote through the DMV, and could result in illegal aliens voting.

Any person who renewed or secured a driver’s license through the DMV may now register to vote, or choose to opt out of doing so. Because illegal immigrants are now eligible for obtaining driver’s licenses, they could be allowed to vote in elections if the Secretary of State’s office fails to verify their eligibility properly.

Brown and the California Democratic party know exactly what they are doing; as a Public Policy Institute survey showed, among unregistered adults, 49% lean toward the Democratic Party and 22% toward the Republican Party. Any bill permitting illegal immigrants to vote would cement the Democratic Party’s hold on California.

True the Vote founder Catherine Engelbrecht stated, “This bill is terrible. It makes an already bad situation much, much worse,” adding that California’s registration databases “lack the necessary safeguards to keep noncitizens off the voter rolls.”

Election Integrity Project of California President Linda Paine echoed that AB 1461 “will effectively change the form of governance in California from a Republic whose elected officials are determined by United States citizens and will guarantee that noncitizens will participate in all California elections going forward.” The Election Integrity Project of California had joined True the Vote to demand that brown veto the bill, calling it a path to “‘state sanctioned’ voter

California follows Oregon, where Democratic Gov. Kate Brown signed a bill in March allowing the automatic registration of all eligible Oregonians to vote when they obtain or renew a driver’s license or state identification card.

But Stephen Frank of California Political Review bluntly asserted that the bill will reduce voter turnout because voters will sniff fraud in the polls: “AB 1461 assures corruption of our elections–our elections will look like those of Mexico and other corrupt nations–and honest people will stop voting since illegal aliens will out vote them.”

I don’t get this…the word that keeps flashing in front of me is “illegal” (Not lawful. Add to this Alien – unlawful migrant). So basically an illegal alien is a criminal unlawfully in its host country and on the run from the authorities – a fugitive. So now these fugitives are going to sign up to vote, thereby giving the authorities their addresses and all their personal info. Are they that stupid? And how will the authorities know who’s voting when illegals are ‘giving’ them their “info”.

The illegals are not gone after by police for being here illegally. The thing about California is that it couldn't function without Mexican workers and that's been the case forever. Used to be they came as migrants with green cards allowing them to work, though there were always those who didn't have them and worked illegally. They are the farm workers, the domestic help, factory workers, landscapers, construction workers, hotel workers (low level), dishwashers, etc, etc, etc, and they work cheap. It's cheaper to build a house in California than where I live in Michigan because of the cheap Mexican labor. California will NEVER give that up.

He has only been in the U.S 1 1/2 years. He got one through the Ecuadorian Consulate, with only his Ecuadorian passport! He can use it to vote! If that's not bad enough, he has an off the books job making $27 an hour installing floors for a construction company in NJ! Even gets picked up and dropped off by company van. Here's the deal with Mexicans: Like anyone else, there are good and bad. The good ones come to work and they work hard (unlike blacks). California was built on the backs of Mexican and Chinese (longer ago) labor. I worked with lots of Mexicans and liked them. It's not like being invaded by Muslims! Mexicans are mostly Catholics and socially conservative. Its these fucking Democrats who started offering them all welfare which, of course, they're going to take if they need it. Big business Republicans are fine with it, too, because that means the state picks up the tab for underpaid workers. I don't dislike Mexicans, at all. I dislike Mexico's poor being shoved on the US tax payer. That's really the big problem - economic.
