Really?

Which tribe do you trace your ancestry to?
 Quoting: Adytum

They say Benjamin but I have my doubts.

I know solely based on the fact that I am of slave descent.
 Quoting: Saracen 69152714

You should well have your doubts that your ancestors are "israelite" at all.

Learn more about Africa and where the slaves really came from.

Maybe get a DNA test if the genealogy just isn't there.

Find your real roots.
 Quoting: Adytum

I do not need to know the exact tribe name to be certain of them. But I know for a fact I am an Israelite based on migration.

The Lemba tribe is proof of that.
 Quoting: Saracen 69152714

Do you know your ancestors were Lemba?

If so, how?

Well, that's why I'm saying -- if I were you, I would want to find out where my ancestors were really from and what they believed.

Maybe there would be more value in that than in all the books of occultism in the whole world.

You might even find the "magic" you are really looking for.

Or not.

Re: Eliphas Levi: A history of Magic
According to the Zohar, when God fell into physical existence he/she took on a "earthly garment". It specifically says that God had a "garment of flesh, skin, veins, and bones."

The qabbalists called this garment the "black material body". So those who think (G)od does not have a body, think again.

I thought you were just being a douch but after reading your posts in this thread I'm impressed. It's a given that jews copied their mythology from the older civs in the crescent. They are also some of the biggest editors of stolen mythos in the world followed by their abrahamic spawn. So, you are right, nothing worthy comes with their teachings that others haven't writ before.

I'm probably of sephardic descent but can't be sure and the mix in my lineage probably contains every breed from persia to iberia so in this regard I'm different in that I no longer care about my ancestors gods. At one point they were likely jewish but if they were they were of the stock who loved their home more than any god since they became new christians.

Whatever it worked for them I respect since I myself abandoned the beliefs I inherited long ago. All I know is that anyone who's alive now descends from the first men and we probably even descend from beings not so human too but that remains to be answered with more certainty. As for gods, well, I came to believe that they were all probably great men from the distant past whose deeds became old legends and the names were deified but that is also my perspective and it holds the value it has.

Actually, I have some distant (nine hundred years ago) Jewish ancestors.

I have respect for Jewish traditions -- for Jews. I just think all men should honor the traditions of their own societies and ancestors. The overwhelming majority of my ancestors were gentile Europeans.

(And I have studied Kaballah to some extent -- in translation -- the Zohar and Sepher Yetzirah.)

And, yes, the OT itself was probably borrowed from Sumerian/Mesopotamian and Egyptian myths as well as the myths of various other peoples in the Middle East.

Now, in the case of these euhemerized gods, I believe some (such as Odin) may really have been god-men, probably shamans, who had mastered methods of ecstasy -- access to spiritual worlds. They are ancestor spirits in some cases. They are culture heroes -- and like Yahweh to the ancient Semites, a creator god, psychopomp, divine opponent of chaos/evil etc.

Our traditions have some similarities and parallels, and of course, many differences.

I would not recommend that a Jewish person NOT study Kaballah. You, for instance, may have a unique perspective, since you understand the cultural background of ancient Judaism -- and a religion does not have to be the ur-religion to have value and truth, IMO.

So, thanks. Not really trying to be a giant douche, though sometimes it happens.

Where did Albert Pike get his theology and material for his work "Morals & Dogma"?

There are several sources, but one of his greatest sources was from two books by an occultists and popularizer of black magick by the name of Eliphas Levi.

Eliphas Levi was a defrocked Roman Catholic Priest who was originally named Alphonse Louis Constant (1810 - 1875). Eliphas Levi was an accomplished Demon possessed Satanist, who is responsible for the occult revival, along with Pike and Blavatsky.

The Artwork of Morals and Dogma is copied in exact illustration, from the books of Eliphas Levi. In addition many paragraphs are lifted straight out of the works of Eliphas Levi.

Many people who start in Freemasonry have no idea who Eliphas Levi is. He was the founder of Modern Satanism. He is the Father of the occult revival of the past 150 years. The purpose of Freemasonry is to get masons in the teachings of Elphas Levi.
