All, If enough peoples voices are heard we CAN and WILL meet our goals!!!

We are hearing a lot of TALK is going on behind the scenes.....it's time for ACTON now!!! All four federally elected officials had represenatives in attendance for the CAG meeting last week. and witnessed what EPA did to us with this health study from ATSDR....They were all there to see once again how EPA continues to fail this community on broken beuracacy.

It is time for our goals to be met TODAY!!! We are asking that EVERYONE please pick up your phone and CALL today and ask when our goals for West Lake/Bridgeton landfill will be met? Respectfully remind them what are goals are and that they hold our lives in their hands. EPA must be removed from the regulatory, and all authoritive jurisdiction of this site. CALL TODAY.....
Residents urgently need:
1) Immediate permanent relocation for homeowners and renting families that want to move that are located within one mile of the West Lake Landfill fence line, paid for by the landfill owner, Republic Services.

2) Provide fair market value assurance for homeowners living within five miles of the West Lake Landfill ,(for five years or until the fire is out, whichever is longer), paid for by the landfill owner, Republic Services.

3) Authorize the Army Corps of Engineers FUSRAP to take charge of the cleanup. They are the most qualified government agency to provide a safe and permanent solution for the radioactive wastes, offer better protection for workers, and have a program for health care assistance for the public.

**ALL** We do have an SC International Inspector radiation monitor in Spanish Village that was donated by County Executive Steve Stenger. It is up and running and you can view it on [link to netc.com (secure)] Rep. Bill Otto also donated a monitor, but we need a lap top to run it. If anyone has an old lap top that they want to donate for the second monitor we would appreciate it. Again, we do already have a working monitor...two very expensive ones!!

I would first like to say that the Moms put up a post for folks to attend Bridgeton council....crickets!! Second...you all are going to have to step out of your box and get uncomfortable... because otherwise...it's a few Moms! Speak or forever hold your piece. Third...there are MANY lawyers involved...and it hasn't done a damn bit of good! Lawyers shut people up and prevent them from speaking on the page and to media. It's impossible to get the word out when nobody can comment or call elected officials! Lastly...we did deliver petitions and only a handful showed up....and its the same people. There is also a county council meeting...when is the last time a group got together and went? Republic is loosing...that is why they have stepped up. If you don't like the press coverage from KMOV...call the producers. Also....STOP watching and posting their stories...you are rewarding them with free marketing! Show up tonight at the panel and confront some of your elected officials!!

******ATTENTION EVERYONE********* Today we have reason to be THANKFUL!!!!! PLEASE READ!!!! THIS IS BIG NEWS!!!!!!! WE ARE BEING HEARD!!!!!

This community was just given a piece of hope. Our federal delegation has introduced legislation today asking for FUSRAP to take over lead jurisdiction of West lake landfill. This is a huge victory for us. It is a step in the right direction to restoring this community back to a safe and healthy place for our families. Our federally elected officials have listened to our voices and we are making a difference. Our work is starting to pay off, and this should encourage you more than ever to be pushing. We will direct our attention wherever it is needed to obtain our goals. We will step up this fight in ways that are needed to protect our children. These officials are standing up, and we should be proud. While we take this step forward and applaud them, we must continue to let them know that we still have people living next to this dangerous superfund site and they need to be moved. We still have radioactive trees and serious concerns about off site contamination and toxic chemicals bring emitted. But today we will be thankful...I will be thankful for this news but most of all I will be thankful for all of you!! Today we're definitely putting the thanks in Thanksgiving!!!
