The March to War: Naval build-up in the Persian Gulf and the Eastern Mediterranean.

By Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya

10/04/06 "CRG" - [link to www.globalresearch.ca] - The probability of another war in the Middle East is high. Only time will tell if the horrors of further warfare is to fully materialize. Even then, the shape of a war is still undecided in terms of its outcome.

If war is to be waged or not against Iran and Syria, there is still the undeniable build-up and development of measures that confirm a process of military deployment and preparation for war.

The diplomatic forum also seems to be pointing to the possibility of war. The decisions being made, the preparations being taken, and the military maneuvers that are unfolding on the geo-strategic chessboard are projecting a prognosis and forecast towards the direction of mobilization for some form of conflict in the Middle East.

In this context, people do not always realize that a war is never planned, executed or even anticipated in a matter of weeks. Military operations take months and even years to prepare...

Is it true Saddam offered to duel Prez. Bush as a way to avert the Iraq war? I like that concept! Lets have them duel!!
We can finally put the UN to good use!.Close First ave. and let them have at it. Winner gets local govt his or her way. Also we can save the U.S.Congress this way. ALL incumbents must duel with fellow incumbents to see who stays.(we will only allow one winner here folks!!!)

As Nazemroaya concludes...

"What we are dealing with is a chessboard for another Middle Eastern war, which could potentially engulf a much broader region."

...yet 'the powers that be' don't seem concerned one iota about the resulting deaths of innocents and destruction; i.e. collateral damage. There's more for the World Bank to finance and Halliburton to rebuild.

These gluttons for greed and power ALL need to be drawn and quartered, as well as their blind supporters right along with them.

How did the protests go in your area?

Relative to the size of the community I'm near, turnout was good and peaceful, though it could have been better. It's a conservative region and, I believe, there are a lot of sympathetic, yet frightened, sheep in our midst.

I've been trying to find coverage in the mainstream media but, thus far, there's little that I've found available, other than the main voice of Corporatist propaganda' i.e. The Associated Press [link to www.examiner.com] that's duplicated around the country. Several decades ago, there would have been continuous coverage on all of the 'letter' networks. Gawd forbid they alienate one of their advertisers today.

The numbers are questionable, as usual. While only 'hundreds' are mentioned before the White House, it's said the protesters took up a 'three-block stretch'.

I want to see what IndyMedia and other alternative sources have as far as coverage later.
