Husbands Obama Care Ins just went up $250 month to $650 WOW Quoting: Kimie721 Has anyone else got a rate increase greater than 1/2 the current bill.?????? Quick question OP.... I'm American and thinking of moving back home, but then I see these posts about Obama-care premiums and I freak out. Do employed people have to have Obama-care, or is it only for retirees? Retirees have medicare. Obamacare is for all those who are not retired, who are not on medicaid or who don't have insurance through their employer. Obamacare makes me, the individual with an individual insurance policy pay for deadbeats. Im getting killed by this you fuckin jerk! FUCK YOU! |

Back in January, our bill went from over $300 a month to under $150 per month. But we've been told that our rate is going to go up by up to 17% at the first of the year. vaccinefreehealth blogspot com The risk far outweighs any benefit as the risk will vary from child to child. facebook.com/graphixyourway |

Just another way for tje govt to fleece the people for their benefit. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28019342 Obama is a stick up artist for the insurance companies. It was written by the insurance companies and they are making a fortune off of me. Here’s another. I used to get Primatene mist once in a while. It cost 6 dollars/ Now I have to go to urgent care which is 100 dollars to get albuterol and that costs 70 dollars. From 6 dollars to 170 dollars all thanks to Obama Obama is all about fucking the middle class Fuck you Obama, fuck you hard douchebag |

Just sock all that money away in a special health savings account instead, and you will have plenty of money to pay your own medical expenses. And then you can pay cash and even haggle prices. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47832478 If you eat healthy and exercise and practice common sense to keep yourself healthy, you won't even need to go to a doctor ever. Until you are in a bad accident and the bills are over a million. I know it's scary but several times my family has had to go with out insurance because we just could not afford it. We just went to dr. or clinic when had to and paid cash. Once I broke my arm and the pseudo dr. there was reading a book to find out how to set my arm. But it healed just fine. Sometimes you just got to put yourself in the Lords hands and do the best you can. I'm retired now, my pension provides full medical. I still avoid doctors like the plague |

Thulsa User ID: 61984016 United States 10/17/2015 12:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think another consideration we're overlooking is the rampant inflation that takes place in the whole health care delivery system... My wife had to have two, twenty minute laser procedures, one on each eye. Cost? After we shopped around the best we could do was $6,000 per eye. I know, I know, it's vision related, the doctor has to be trained, etc., etc., etc. but c'mon, really? I counted 15 people who went in and out before she got treated, did the math, and came up with $90,000 in revenue in two hours for two doctors. Not a bad afternoon's work... |

It's effect is superior to FDA-brand medicine without the harmful effects added on. Quoting: Booger Cancer I cured my Stage 4 cancer over 17 years ago and it cost me under $20. Due to my disability/limited mobility I'm prone to all sorts of illnesses such as congestive heart failure. Twice I've become asymptomatic for about $50. I stopped a heart attack in 15 seconds simply by sprinkling a little cayenne pepper from a spice bottle on the palm of my hand and licking it. My tongue burned a little, but that was the only downside. Can you start an Alternative Health Thread For Dummies for people like me who haven't researched it, but we can all see the handwriting on the wall? Didn't mean to interrupt the thread but if you could share your knowledge in one spot... I did that already. You might be able to find it by doing a search for my screen name. It was at least a few months ago. Maybe six months ago. Last Edited by Booger Cancer on 10/17/2015 12:22 AM Yes, I did cure my Stage 4 cancer in two weeks when I was 48. I also reversed my chronic kidney disease (glomerulonephritis) when I was 25. In neither case were any medical treatments involved. |

However, isn't the problem that you are expected to pay anyway, and if you don't the IRS comes after you. If people could be left alone to manage their own health costs, that would be a good option. |

Until you are in a bad accident and the bills are over a million. I'd rather take that risk and have a valid bill afterward that can be negotiated, instead of mindlessly throwing my money away each month. Non - existent money I don't even HAVE to pay for insurance in the first place. A hospital will not turn away someone who has been in an accident like that. The other thing that's always bothered me is, you are only insured as long as you keep making the payments, right? So if you are in an accident and can't work, or become to ill to work and make the payments, then bam, no more insurance, isn't that right? And all that money down the drain for nothing. Well maybe for the initial bill, but if your income stops and the payment stops, then you aren't any better off than if you never had insurance in first place, are you? |

Last year I paid ~200 bucks penalty for CommunityOrganizerCare that came directly out of my turbotax refund. My one expense was to purchase contact which I paid for out of pocket. My 'scrip hasn't changed in 5+years and I got 2years supply online. I stretch them to 2.5 years because I'm clean and orderly. I did the math. I opted out. |

SlimExponent User ID: 64264681 South Korea 10/17/2015 05:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is one reason I decided to retire overseas. There are many countries where you can pay out of pocket for high quality health care. With insurance it is ridiculously cheap. To remain in the US I would not have been able to afford retirement due to the high cost of health care. I have had to use the health care here and with insurance it is literally pennies on the dollar compared to America. I can walk into a specialist office (dermatology, ear nose throat) without an appointment or referral and have a doctor visit within an hour with prescribed medicine (costs about the same as the visit- cheap) and a check up date in a week. It costs less than a meal. |

I think that's going to get worse next year, but it's still better than having to use the exchange. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19543977 When I call providers that accept our insurance, they typically accept any employer provided insurance but refuse exchange based insurance. If your insurance hasn't gone up since odontcare, then, let me ask you, are you a government , state or local municipality employee? Because the rest of us had increases so high that we had to go to a lower plan with a higher deductible and now we don't even bother going to the doc because if they need to perform any kind of procedure, we can't afford the 3K deductible to get the damn thing. Right now I need to go to the dermatologist. I'm afraid to go because I'm pretty sure he'll have to take a mole off, what is THAT going to cost me? |

The waiting room was practically empty and the doctor came out to bring me back , which never happens . Blood pressure , temperature and less than 10 staples later left the ER , but not before forking over $150. Come October I get a bill for $800 because I have the silver plan with $2000 deductible. The only people who can go to the doctor now are those on Medicaid and Medicare , forget about the people who pay for insurance . Never going to the doctor again , but keeping insurance so I don't lose my house if I get sick . |
