Wonder if after death, you are just aware, "consciousness" floating around alone, in the blackness of nothing, until you are reborn or chosen for rebirth? Like when you lay awake at night and think of things - you are there forever... wtf 10

If death is anything like the place DMT takes you, it will be so fast you won't know what hit you. Nothing like this place.

You won't even be able to think "where am I?", because there will be absolutely no concept of "I". Without a body to ground you, there is no self and you are one with the Universe...

Nothing in this article suggests consciousness exists for any large amount of time after your heart and lungs stop functioning. Just that it doesn't immediately die off when you stop breathing or pumping blood.

Re: Anyone ever ask the question: "Can consciousness survive biological death?"
Dreaming is essentially your consciousness "outside" of your physical self.. interacting in other realms. Your brain cannot construct these 3d realities that are produced in the "dream state". When you're viewing something, your consciousness is extending out to that which you are viewing, thus the reason people often can tell when someone is staring at them.

And if so then does that mean that the subconscious unites with the conscious awareness and live as one in a super imposition of dreamstate over reality?

Therefore like I have told you many times before, I am not going anywhere in your foreseeable future.

Of course you survive. At the moment of death you enter the Bardo of Death. You spend up to 49 days there until you are reborn in one of the six realms of Samsara.

I don't know what subconscious is. There's only consciousness from my perspective.

But, yes, I have asked the question.

And consciousness doesn't need to "survive" biological death, as the body (and the world) arise within consciousness. Consciousness is independent of the body, not the other way around.
