DVD set contains an alternative ending that was never broadcast. I plan on watching that one last.

No. The idea of the show was much better than the execution. IMO.

the first two episodes were good then they did the old lets try to drag it out crap... if they would have stuck with the plot and got into all the back door crap and kept rolling it that way it would have been good...

The plot is convoluted.

Yes it did, at times, deviate into typical TV melodrama, but it's a necessary evil to develop some of the characters.

I'm sure you have your own riveting TV/movie script, as you seem to possess an uncanny ability to dismiss the work of others.

Good show but too much focus on family and relationship drama. I don't give a fuck about that they should have just stuck with the interesting stuff.

Season two stripped away a lot of that backstory stuff.

An even better example of a show that hit WAY too close to the mark and had to be quickly canceled: Rubicon, on AMC.

Spectacular. If GLP made a show, it would be Rubicon. Seek it out.
