The interesting thing is that although some people are born with it, many acquire it through the use of prescription drugs. Steroids is one of the reasons. These kids want to be supermen, but what happens is that these various steroids, and substances such as what governments put in water, and toothpaste also have an effect on kid's health. What they all seem to do is raise the core temperature of the child which the child is not aware of while playing sports, or just hard playing with other kids doing physical things like boys like to do, climbing trees, and playing soldier and simulated sword fighting. These kids are really smart about how to use these substances too. Also, trans fat is another cause. |

They say if you take your kids off high glycemic, heavily processed foods, high fructose corn syrup, etc. that cause the blood sugar to skyrocket then ADD goes away. Parents today don't cook meals. They buy these frozen death dinners that have no nutrients in them. Their kids get ADD from high blood sugar and their body goes into starvation mode because it's not getting any nutrients and they pack on the fat, get diabetes, englarged hearts. What a mess. |

| jlazarus User ID: 72617 United States10/06/2006 12:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | don't knw much about these houston incidents, but every year in our community you hear of at least one or two kids that this happens to - always at the beginning of the school year it seems, during track, or football practice, etc..when these kids are running hard, etc.. often, but not always, it's simply a matter of an undiagnosed heart condition. my own child was born with a congenital heart defect - lucky for us this was caught early and he underwent open heart surgery for correction at age 3. had we not found out (the detection was accidental because of another - more benign - issue going on at the time) he very well could be one of these statistic 'sudden death' kids. our doctor told us he probably would not have lived to see his teens. we are very thankful. I will accept any rules that you feel necessary to your freedom. I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. Having been involved in sports from a young age, there is the constant pressure to perform. Its not just academic pressure that is endemic in our schools, what if you don't excel academically what other options do you have? I'm not suggesting this is the only answer to the recent problems. However with the constant pressure to perform and if you are a budding athlete, there are many options out there to become bigger and stronger. At the age of 16 i was receiving cortisone injections in my knee due to cartilage and ligament damage, and had friends who were using steroids or hormones to increase there performance. Drug testing is evident in junior level sports but is not the norm or well regulated. People don’t believe that school kids are using performance-enhancing drugs. As is said this is not the only answer but i can ensure you this does go on. Look again at the headlines, how many of these kids were the captain of the football, soccer team, etc. The evidence is there to be seen. |

This requires one egg placed directly between two units for about an hour or so. Just demonstrates the potential damage to cells these things are capable of. The egg doesn't have circulating blood flowing through it to cool it off like the brain, but it does show subtantial heat is generated by the friction induced by microwaves at close range. |
