no, but you cant really change their chewing so you might go insane trying to change them or drive them insane complaining about it too much....the rest of us in the family basically learned to tune out pops bad habit as we don't want to make a loved one feel bad or self conscience

What I find most disgusting about people who chew with their mouth open is when bits of food come flying out of their mouth!!!

the food flies out too...but after awhile you can tune that out too...when he was younger and had a beard it was even grosser

Or their dentures come flying out with the food.
