Quoting: Anonymous Coward 58577829 [link to www.heraldtribune.com] PARRISH - The owner of a stolen show horse that intruders butchered for its meat hopes evidence left behind at the crime scene will lead to their arrests. "It’s horrible,” Deborah H. Stephens, owner of the award-winning jumper Phedra de Blondel, said Sunday afternoon. She said she imported the horse from Europe and that it arrived just two days earlier. Manatee County Sheriff’s detectives say that sometime between 8 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday intruders took the horse from its stall in a stable in the 10000 block of Gillet Road in Parrish and slaughtered it on the property. Deputies who arrived at the scene described the horse as having "large portions of meat cut from it and missing.” snip I got served horse in Italy. I didn't know what it was at the time, but it was good. Same thing happened with dog on China, and after my third bowl, I heard someone say "dog". I said "dog? You mean woof woof?" They saig, "ah yes, guardian dog soup, make you strong and virile, you likey?" I'll digress. .. |

Some ummediate coastal areas are nice, but I could not deal with the humidity dew point levels, turd worlders practicing witchcraft religious cults like Santaria and Voodoo, high crime levels, low wages, old farts stepping on the accelerator instead of the break, crashing into stores and women with baby strollers, big ass bugs .... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70657997 Good stay away. We don't like your kind |

I just could not let that happen! He's now been with me for just about 2 years! :) I love him so much. Quoting: Modest1028 TY for sharing...horses are amazing! I love them all, but had two that lived to be 30 and 32. I miss them terribly! and love |

My husband lost his horse back in August because he had torsion. It was just the worst day ever. The vet came out, and informed us after hours of trying to save him, that our options were A. Euthanize or B. A 15,000 dollar surgery that still may not work. When I saw my husband tear up, it just broke my heart. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 6096815 United States 10/27/2015 12:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Who would butcher a horse? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70626537 They can't be human. Even if they look human, they would not be in my sights. Yano? People butcher other humans all the time. Even children. I am not surprised when they do this to animals. Actually, if I was in war, I could kill a human without a second thought as long as it was the enemy human. Same for a violent criminal who was attacking me or my family. I could not and would not kill a horse, and I'm a carnivore human, who eats beef, chicken, fish, and wild game of all sorts. If I was staving to death it would never occur to me to kill and eat a horse. NEVER. |

My family was outside putting up some fencing, when my 7 year old looked over and saw the vet. She just got a very sad look on her face and said "Mommy, what is going on over there?" and then said "They are going to put Missy to sleep, aren't they?" My husband had to explain it to her, and she just started crying. People don't realize what these beautiful creatures can do for you. I'm so sorry for your losses. :/ |

Way to many wood splinters... On a serious note: This society gets sicker by the day. So much beauty left in this world and yet we kill it. For money, for media attention, for thrills or just for no reason at all. Saddening. |

Horse meat is considered a delicacy...they actually butcher the horse while it's still alive. This just got press because of the value. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28413549 Used to live in the Keys and it was on the news all the time, especially around the area named "The Ranches". disgusting. |

Your daughter sounds like me when I was young, extremely sensitive and intuitive. I don't think I could have survived my childhood without my loving horse. She was amazing and will always remaini in my heart. Much love to you for being the special lady that you are. Your family, the critters and the world is a much kinder place for your being in it. xo |
