Hey Astro.. i tried they method mentioned on first page to add it to Stellarium but didnt work.. and it worked this way..

Configuration window

Plugins tab

Solar System Editor

"configure" button

"Import orbital elements in MPC format..." button

Search for "2015 TB145"

Check the box next to it in the bottom result window.

Click "Add objects"

Close all windows. Now you can search for "2015 TB145"

Sounds like you're using a newer version of Stellarium, I think that may interfere with the solarsystem ini manipulation technique, but I'm glad you were able to get it to work. Thanks for the tip. I don't use Stellarium that much so I really don't know much about editing its configuration files, just passing along what I was told.

Is it true it was discovered just 15 days ago?
if it is true, can we 100% exclude that there's one or more unknown asteroids hitting the heart in 15 days?
I don't want know about statistic numbers but only if is possible or not
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70689515

Of course, an asteroid of this size can only be detected when it's close to earth, which naturally does not leave us with much warning at all if it is going to impact on that particular orbit. I'm frequently surprised how many people are unaware of this fact. We have a good handle on the large asteroids that could literally wipe out life on earth, but we could be blind sided by smaller asteroids like this one at any moment of any day. And they're still large enough to do very severe regional damage.

You do realize that distance in terms if space is equivalent to the distance between Obama and a line of coke, right?

It is negligible and one tiny deviation can be brought about by a myriad of conditions. One deviation is all it takes.

Can you prove a deviation will not be occurring? Of course you can't. Don't speak such absolutes.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70687883

Any impact on the asteroid that could produce a "deviation" that large given the object's incredibly high momentum and incredibly high velocity would naturally destroy it.
 Quoting: Dr. Astro

will you also be filing that space junk thing? I heard they suspect it is hollow and cylindrical in shape. I think thats interesting. COuld be a rocket from an old apollo mission? What I dont understand is how does an object that was flying from earth end up turning around and heads back at a speed fast enough to break through our stratosphere and it is from many years past. What are your thoughts on this? Would love to hear your opinion.
 Quoting: Pyax

Its orbit is being perturbed by the moon, which is very predictable so we can also predict with accuracy where it will hit. It's likely a spent rocket stage. As I previously discussed, it's too small and too far from earth at this point to see, particularly with all the moonlight. In theory I'd be able to see it on the next orbit but unfortunately it runs into earth before it can start the next orbit. I do want to do an analysis of its orbital history and see if anything sticks out, but that'll be a task for later.
 Quoting: Dr. Astro

thats interesting thank you. I just cant wrap my head around the fact its an old rocket that returned. I mean how can it go far out into space and turn around and head right back at us? Or would it have just stayed near earth? or the moon? If thats the case then how come it is coming back all of a sudden? WHat would trigger that? I am just fascinated by this. I really would like to understand.

I can't read all of this thread. I'm so confused. What does it mean? Is an asteroid going to hit the earth or just pass by it or does anyone know? If no one knows, okay. If it's going to hit the earth does anyone know where? I just want practical answers. I'm not a scientist or really even interested in science. And I'm not a troll.

I understand, I'll try to do a video on that later. It remained in earth orbit, but it was a very high elliptical orbit. At one point it was going way out past the moon in terms of distance. On this orbit the moon's gravity alters it such that it comes in and hits earth at a steep angle.

If there will be a meteor shower from this dormant comet, is it possible that these meteoroids harbor microbes or alien viruses that will survive its entry in our atmosphere?
monster
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70688501

Yes.

Not only possible, but probable, bordering on certain.

Early indications are that the alien microbes will cause human blood to turn to powder, or alternately, reanimate dead corpses into flesh-eating ghouls.

Kinda off topic but Dr. Astro is there any real effort to clear up local space of the junk out there?

This website included sats as well, but still, even though there is a bunch of space up there near eath, it must be kinda trashy. Probably would make it a bit safer for the ISS as well.

This is a pretty neat site for tracking reentires as well, if you have no scope:

Luke 17:20
King James Bible
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Mat 24:7
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Mat 24:8
All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Mat 24:9
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

Mat 24:10
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

Mat 24:11
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Mat 24:12
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Mat 24:13
