Actually no, there aren't shootings every day in NYC. NYC has been relatively safe for the past two decades. One of the safest large cities in the country. Looks like that's starting to change though.

And were you shot, stabbed, beaten up, robbed, raped? Apparently not. NYC, just the city,not including the suburbs, has 8.5 million people. And the areas most tourists and business travelers go to are as safe as Disneyworld. You're more likely to be murdered by your husband/BF in some suburban or rural area than be randomly shot, stabbed, in NYC.

Syracuse NY had 12 people shot in separate incidents over Fourth of July weekend. They have had record numbers shot or stabbed since then. It gets no nationwide publicity. I assume this is happening in other liberal hellhole cities that are NOT NYC or Chicago or LA - but nobody cares.

I've seen armed robberies happen in my city between 5 and 7 a.m.

Also, local news has advised us that most burglaries and home invasions are happening between 6 and 9 p.m.

Just thought I'd throw that in. Kind of weird.

In Indianapolis, a 21 year old man was killed in a shootout in a Burger King plus one person killed in a south side hit and run. As I commented earlier, 4 killed, 16 wounded in Chicago this weekend, yet NYC, with a population of 8,491,079 million people, always makes the news.

Just google any large city, and something fatal is happening all the time. I won't even look at Detroit or St. Louis. I wouldn't step foot into those places, but I visit NYC frequently. I've walked by myself at night in Manhattan and will use the subways. I'm just as aware there as I am in any town or large city in the world.

I've seen several muggings while visiting Paris and Rome in one day, but of all the many times I've spent in NYC over the past 37 years, not once.

My brother lives upstate but we are from WA state. Shooting guns and coyotes is what we grew up doing. Now he cant even own an AK without worrying about johnny law. I just dont get it.

All three victims were patients at a methadone clinic across the street that opened at 7 a.m., said law enforcement sources. The men have long rap sheets for drug busts in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx, police added.

Lamboy could not speak to police due to his wounds, and Torres was not initially cooperative, sources said.

A large sum of cash was found on one of the victims, so police are investigating this as a possible drug dispute or narcotics-related hit, law enforcement sources said.
