They sold a product as being environmentally friendly yet maintaining performance. People want their money back and fuck the car. $1000? LOfuckingL |

The EPA has never offered amy justifucation why oxides of nitrogen, NO2,NO3 were declared "bad" gasses. Most of the NO2 and NO3 are generated by living plants. If I had one of these I would hide as long as possible to save fuel. Perhaps I should look at buying one of these while people are upset about it. I think Volkswagen showed great integrity in not honoring a stupid, conflictatory regulation. |

Plants take CO2 and output Oxygen. Not N2 or N3. Totally false. N2 and N3 are nitric oxides. They are what you get if you boil nitric acid. Very unhealthy. You breathe in enough you'll die. They also cause acid rain. CO2 on the other hand isn't harmful to Humans in small quantities present in the air. |

VW's voucher offer is a nice gesture, but that's all it is. Granted, there may have been some "good intentions" behind the scenes in order to get these cars on the market, but the bottom line was making profits by covering up a deliberate cheating device in the software. I own a 2009 TDI, it's a decent vehicle, but I've had better. Once it hit 140k it started having all sorts of issues. Unfortunately for VW, I won't be buying another one but I will be asking for a settlement. |

NOx is produced during high combustion temperatures, that's why the VW's are releasing more NOx... the hotter the burn the more efficient the combustion and the more MPG. Rockets burn REALLY fucking hot... watch the video of a launch, all that brown smoke is NOx. |

My Toyota started around 38,000-40,000 miles. When I get my oil changed there is hardly any oil. According to Toyota my car being a quart low every 1000 miles is normal and acceptable. It only holds 4.2 quarts, if I wait 5000 miles to change my oil there would be no oil. Toyota has gotten away with their POS cars. Google Toyota oil consumption problem. |
