It's commonly believed that any dog that attacks a small child should be put down so why when one tries to attack an adult it was only sensing evil?

No. Dogs are as stupid as us.

Actually they are not stupid at all and sense things two legged "zombies" don't. Rottweilers are amazing judges of evil, know for a fact.

It's not just evil that they sense. A dog uses its body language to communicate its intentions to other dogs. It also does this with humans.

On the reverse side, a dog interprets a human's body language to mean what it would in the dog world.

If the dog is an alpha male or female, it will communicate that to you immediately upon meeting. If you use body language that it interprets as challenging its dominance, then, in the dog world that means he/she must defend its dominance.

A simple raising of the hand, a direct gaze, a forward body posture - all of these might be the human wanting to give a friendly greeting to the dog. But to the dog, those gestures are a challenge to its dominance.

If the dog is an alpha who believes it can best you, it will attack....if the dog is not an alpha, then he/she will lay its ears back and accept your dominance.

Many people have been bitten/attacked by a dog simply for the mixed signals of body language. And children, in their natural desire to touch and interact with a dog, come across as very aggressive in dog understanding.

I say dogs are stupid as their owners. You want some videos of crazy dogs attacking old people for proof?

How old would the person have to be to be determined as evil because the dog attacked them?

That's utter bullshit. Dogs will attack for a thousand reasons, including but not limited to, they are mean, they are mentally insane, they are prone to anger, you name it.

They are just like people, some are nice, some are mean, some are downright vicious, some can be all of them at given moments. A dangerous dog is not something you keep around.

I would never put a dog down that attacks unprovoked. Only in extreme circumstances where the harm done was too great.

Humans attack all the time unprovoked and no one puts them down for it. A dog can have a bad day too you know.
