When you truly are in need how many people actually help?

When you find yourself hip deep and you have one thousand friends and family how many will actually stand shoulder to shoulder with you?
I have been in this situation recently and found that society in general are pussys. Oh they say ,"I will prày for you', or I am thinking about you but only had one who actually tried to do something.
People are afraid and greedy they don't want to associate themselves with anyone they think might cost them something.
Time, money, reputation, job, or community standing they don't want to loose any of that risking giving help to you.
My family and friends just disappeared and turned their backs and turned against me.
