I found it on my flight sim it is in Seneca OR with an I.D. of 70R8 I surveyed the area in a Bell 206 after a straight out departure from runway 36 a gravel strip sitting in a valley looks like a great place to hunt.

Is that why the governor or Oregon said YES to the refugees when most of the other governors said no?

Re: Americans, why is Inshallah international airport in the mountains of Oregon?
There are 552 acres of water rights for the ranch from Rosebud, Antelope, Lewis, Officer and Johnnie Creeks. There are numerous live water creeks and 50+ springs to provide water sources throughout the ranch for livestock and wildlife. Over 20 of the springs are developed with troughs.

The Inshallah Ranch has varied topography and elevation with numerous willow lined, live water creeks, upland grass pastures with sagebrush, bitterbrush and juniper trees which transition into aspen groves and ponderosa pine forests. There are multiple canyons that have rim rocks and mountain mahogany. The elevation of the ranch varies from 4150' to about 6000' with the ranch headquarters being at 4500 feet.

There is a private airstrip at 4560' elevation with a 3200' gravel runway. Utilities have been provided to the south end of the runway for a future hangar.

Approximately 10,150 acres are zoned MUR (multiple use range), with the remaining 1850 acres zoned PF (primary forest).

The ranch has not been cruised since 2002. There are over 3.5 million board feet of merchantable pine and fir on the ranch, with pine being the predominant species.

With the abundance of live water, the broad range of topography, the private location, as well as the first class improvements, the Inshallah Ranch simply has to be seen to fully appreciate it.

"About Inshallah Ranch

Located south of John Day Oregon in the shadow of Mahogany Mountain and bordering the Malheur National Forest, the Mathisen Ranch offers a substantial holding in one of Central Oregon’s most attractive locations. The ranch, consisting of roughly 12,000 contiguous deeded acres, with a private (out the gate) 12,000 acre USFS grazing permit for 682 AUM’s in Malheur National Forest. Diverse habitat supports world class mule deer, elk, antelope, bear, cougar along with wild turkeys, grouse and small game. The ranch has an exquisite main home, 3 additional residences, an exceptional equine setup as well as a 3,600 foot airstrip."

Wow, he's an ugly one. It says "Aswat, who is originally from West Yorkshire, is believed to have been in close contact with the four suicide bombers in the days before the London terror attacks" I wonder if that was the four involved with the "bomb the mosque plot"?

I learnt another Arabic phrase today, Mashallah. Mashallah is an expression of approval. In the following video we see the terrorists using Mashallah to approve of the news they have just received.

The C-130 takeoff run is 3,290ft but can be done in 1,800ft (with max effort procedures) and 1,400-2,550ft for landing, this runway sits in a valley out in the middle of nowhere with very little town wise around, it would make the perfect place for a clandestine operation I must say.

OP, there's a 12,000 acre ranch with great hunting that carries the same name as the airport, Inshallah Ranch, that is near the airport in Grant County, Oregon. This ranch is currently up for sale.

[link to www.landsofamerica.com]

Inshallah translates to "God Willing".

Perhaps related is the fact that near Inshallah Ranch is another ranch, Big Muddy Ranch. The latter was formerly named Rajneeshpuramar as 25 years ago this ranch was the home of a guru/spiritual teacher called Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh and his hundreds of followers (neo-sannyasins or Rajneeshees). Together, they tried (but failed with much ensuing murder and mayhem) to set up a Utopian community there.

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

I also thought it would be worth researching whether the word Inshallah might instead be an Indian word in the language of Native Americans who stem from the area of Inshallah Ranch there in Grant County, Oregon.

Oddly, the Indian tribe native to that part of Grant county, Oregon are called the Didalam. This is a word (di dalam) in the Indonesian language that translates to the English word "inside".
