Personally, I believe the accident was indeed what it appears to be unless there is more 'evidence'.

Now....in regards to the passport - that's another story. I think some authority figure just threw this into the story for two reasons:

1) to give some credibility to the other passport in the street story for those who might be on the fence about 9-11

2) to mock the 9-11 Truthers...
