Now....in regards to the passport - that's another story. I think some authority figure just threw this into the story for two reasons:

1) to give some credibility to the other passport in the street story for those who might be on the fence about 9-11

2) to mock the 9-11 Truthers...

QUESTION FOR GLPers:

The pilot is an American flying in the Unites States. He doesn't need a passport! He's on U.S. soil!!!

So what's your point? A passport is valid ID, and most airports require 2 forms of identification nowadays. Why not use it for that purpose?

Furthermore, next year, a passport will be mandatory for all domestic flights.

Agreed, up until the media & mayor Bloombug said that the two people from the plane were a student and a flight instructor. Flight instructor would not have taken over control? Perhaps not radio for help? Nothing?
