No, it's an old hoax with a new date put on it.

I have worked in Hunt's Point before, and let me tell you, nobody there is worried about terrorists. There are much more imminent threats.

That's one of the most dangerous areas of the greater NYC area, I was talking to a cop one time while waiting for a tow truck (he stopped pretty much to provide security for me until they showed up).

He told me not to stop at red lights after dark, he said no cop will stop you there as long as you are in a work truck and look like you have a reason to be there.
