I have flown and been around planes of the size that hit building in NYC. I have no idea how this could of happened!!!!

Possibly somebody with a lot of power is playing games with everybody and has a thing for numbers, such as 10/11/06 being like 9/11/01 upside down, or, there is something supernatural at play, or both.

BTW, the Cirrus SR20 is a FAST little plane, with an unforgiving nature, and a tendency to stall and go into a spin that cannot be recovered from if a novice pilot flies it too slow on a "sightseeing tour." They also have fuel tanks that tend to explode with crashes.

I understand why people are coming up with stuff like that because I tell you this, all pilots nation wide are going wait a minute this can't happen.

This is major crazy! This plane has balance controls that give auto alarms on pitch and stall.

Now they are saying instructor was in the plane. Wow, if instructor was in plane then that is off the scale crazy.

It just can't happen. Something is amiss.

Maybe he got a heart attack,

and in the last moment of consciousness

he throws passport from the plane,

so people will know right away

who is burning.

Seen crashes like this before, back when the dot.com made a bunch of people rich overnight. They would buy expensive, powerful planes and promptly fly them into concrete walls or trees and explode.

Remote Controlled...speculation as to whether Lidle was already dead before the crash...

My first tribute goes to the brave folks at the Fire Department who acted with extreme professionalisim in dealing with this incident. Especially so knowing what happened on 9/11 and the colleagues and friends they lost at that time.

This was an accident and the authorities need to investigate how it happened, why the aircraft was where it was at the time and whether there needs to be greater control on sight seeing trips over heavily populated high rise areas.

Absolutely! More control...that's the answer. What good is an accident when the gubmint can't use it as pretext of some type of policy that turns the screw yet one more revolution to the people.

BTW, as posted earlier, there was a flight instructor in the plane.

Someone thought the passport on the street below was a nice touch, too. Sure makes you wonder.

The aircraft was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Regardless of other causes the pilot has to be accountable for that.

Radio news here (UK, BBC Radio 4) said there was possibly a mayday call beforehand. Anyone know more about it?

Fly any aircraft outside it's design envelope and it will stall, and crash
if you are not properly trained to recover it.

How about this theory?

The plane had a peak altitude of 1500 feet. Suddenly, there was a malfunction of some sort. The pilot struggled to regain control and couldn't. By the time he realized he had lost it, it was too late to pull the chute, or maybe the chute malfunctioned, or maybe the main malfunction affected the chute.

And the passport?

"On Sunday, the day after the Yankees were eliminated from the playoffs, Lidle cleaned out his locker at Yankee Stadium and said he planned to fly back to California, making a few stops"

Perhaps he needed the passport when he got to CA to fly out of the country? Who knows? You?

And the fact they found it on the street?
