I didn't know about this story until today and was wondering, does anyone know why the cop shot him 16 times? Has he given any reason? Is he being charged with anything? Isn't it usually unnecessary to shoot that many times?

They will absolutely not make it anywhere north of the Loop. They may not even make it that far north. Chicago is a beautiful city, but only the rich can live in the beautiful areas. It will be very protected. You won't see any BLM in front of Trump Tower, or in Lincoln Park or Wrigleyville. Nope. Anyone who even tries will be in the pokey in seconds. If more than one, the tear gas will explode all over the place, along with tazers and maybe rubber bullets.

I grew up in Brighton Park and Logan Square back in the 60 s and did nt know exactly what to make of all the rioting back then. I hope you are right about any such event today, It really pains me to see my home town such a mess.

Thanks for answering. I guess it won't matter to Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton if the video shows the kid was trying to kill the cop. But if the judge wants it released, maybe it shows something really bad on the cop's part. Why else would a judge have to get involved and why would the police dept. want to keep it from being seen by the public? This could cause a lot of rioting.

Just like they shut the rest of the crime down in the city.

What exactly is their plan to shut a riot down? What are these extreme measures you speak of?

Hey Brighton park here!! I grew up there in the 80s right before it turned into the Shi*hole it is now. It was getting there but by mid 90s is when it really messed up. What a shame, now it's too dangerous to even drive thru.

Rahmwell fired Jody Weiss who was the former police chief. He was from the FBI and so the police didn't like him. He wasn't "one of them". But he made them work. No more sitting in Dunkin Donuts or at a corner in the squad cars listening to the gunshots. He took a lot of them off their desk jobs and put them on the streets and the crime rate went down. But the poor little policemen weren't happy so they demonstrated against Jody Weiss and as soon as Rahmwell was elected, he fired him. Now we have a wimp for a police chief and the cops are back at their usual, "don't call us if it's black people" and most likely, they are back to planting drugs on gang members they arrest. I can't say that for sure, but they used to be that crooked. So the crime rate is up. And it will be as long as we have a wimp for a police chief. And I don't understand why he's so weak. He's from New York City, I think. If he's from Boston, that would explain it but I can't tell for sure by the accent. I moved out of the city but not far enough away. In fact, I'm closer to a bad area than I was when I lived inside the city limits.

I'm worried about demonstrations and violence now because the police, I believe, will be restrained. Even in the '60's with the race problems people knew that Hizzoner da Mare (the first Daley) wouldn't play around and the police would "shoot to kill". But it's not like that anymore and so I think there could be some very bad riots when this video is shown.

But I thought the magic Jew Rahm Emanuel was going to fix everything when he became mayor.

Rahm will ram the police down their throats. Just try causing panic on Michigan Ave. If the Blackhaws can have over a million drunk fans in a parade without a shot being fired, a few hundred idiots are no match for Chicago's finest.
