I just got some new oils in the mail and Rosemary is one of them. Quoting: EekTheCat Why use Rosemary oil? You can buy the live plant just about anywhere. It makes a great ornamental, and can be decorated as a Christmas tree. They make the whole house smell like evergreen. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. "America is at that awkward stage. Then, it gets huge. Gotta keep it trimmed or it will take over the herb garden (that and mint). Tried it in both Georgia and Kansas - great, hardy plant. But, I haven't had much luck with it indoors - probably too dry in the winter. I know what you mean about taking over the garden. We were given Egyptian mint and it is very prolific. also survives cold winters, great plant. I have heard you should plant mint into the ground in a pot rather than just the dirt. Of course, I got both spearmint and peppermint and planted them straight into the dirt. It's not so bad, but you do have to go out every month or so and trim it back. |
