Pump action rifles are lousy for terroristic purposes. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70874523 Why would Turkey support the western anti-islam opposition rather than the Islamists in Europe? Turkey are trying to implement Sharia law, they openly supports IS and opens their borders to Europe so the swarm of "refugees" can get here. So their view and goal of things are pretty obviou.. Probably. But I don't think its as simple as that. The events unfolding are a bit too simplistic, too pat. Turkey could just be a puppet, a front for other powers. The people who deal in illegal weapons in Turkey aren't necessarily aligned with the government. I don't blindly trust the narrative we're being shown and I'm sure things are much more complicated instead of black and white. Pakistan is a standing example of a divided population. To try and use the actions of people within a country to judge the government, and the population as a whole, is completely and totally asinine. |

Its a good tactic to have a shooter distant from a recovery team in order to confuse law enforcement |

Then again, I learned last week that people still have candles and baked beans. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 53531108 The article states they are Winchester SXP models. The Winchester SXP is a shotgun, not a rifle. I've been married so long, I don't even look both ways when I cross the street. |

Quoting: Fire Watch The weapons were being transported, without authorisation, in a Dutch truck driven by a Turkish national, police said. [link to www.ansa.it] Why "pump action rifles"? Are they cheaper to make? I don't have the time or the crayons to explain this to you. Slake Blake |

Are they cheaper to make? I'm quoting the article. Obviously, the author doesn't know the difference between a shotgun and a rifle. For under $200 you can purchased a rifled barrel and scope. This turns that shotgun into a killing machine at 150 yards. |

You are pumping the gun as you squeeze the trigger, never taking the gun off of the target. |

Good for defending fixed positions and picking off targets from a distance. Not good for mowing down a bunch of innocent civilians. Automatic rifles would be better for that. Just in time for the influx of refujihadis. They stroll in, disappear, form up in ranks at the planned rendezvous, crack the container and off they go. Fifth-column all over the countryside with no thought to self-preservation. Turkey and Russia are a distraction. |
