Don't we already have a high IQ group that is in charge? High IQ but perhaps frequently without a conscience and perhaps with a love of deception---not too sure that would be a good trade-off for the rest of mankind.

Of course, currently the global IQ is on a steady decline.

The explosion of Muslim and Nagger populations has lead to a lower 'mean' IQ.

Agnostic has nothing to do with being on the "middle ground" between theists and atheists.

It's about being informed and admitting we cannot know when logic and causality do not suffice to solve a problem, like the infinite regress problem.

Science claims that first there was nothing and then this nothing exploded (big bang) out of which everything else formed.
Using causality and logic to go back to the first cause and then throw it overboard when it's not convenient anymore.
So the big bang pulled itself out of the magicians hat and formed everything else from there on.


This position is not at all much different from a theist's position, which substitutes the big bang with God, or God having created the big bang in some interpretations.
Again we have an uncaused cause, being God in this case out of which everything came about.

An agnostic will admit that both positions do not really explain everything there is.
Furthermore he will arrive at the conclusion that we are incapable, using logic and causality to ever understand how everything came about.
Even if we were to figure out what created the big bang, or if there was some super-God which created the God responsible for this universe, we would again have to ask who created those ad infinum.
Hence, the infinite regress problem which is humanly unsolvable/unthinkable.

And we did not even throw consciousness into the above considerations, which is another mystery life poses.

And if you believe there are no magic cloud-men without evidence you're even dumber.

I would agree with Einstein. Mankind's definition of God is bogus. However, could there be an intelligent, universal creator of some sort? Sure. Why not? Nobody will likely ever know the real answer to that.

Apparently I have a "genius" level 130+ IQ, and, I must say, that I agree with your statement. Sometimes what we consider logic is not really the answer...you have to look within to discover what science cannot yet (and may never) explain.

My German Shepard is seriously more intelligent than most brown skin bipeds I meet.

As for the actual subject, I will begin with the caveats that every person has something to contribute and that character is more important than IQ. I have to add that I have met geniuses from every race and culture.

That said, I have worked for many years with physicians, scientists, and engineers. Is it not perfectly clear that people with low, measured IQs are limited in what they can accomplish?

Would you want your brain surgeon or oncologist to be a med school graduate because they had a "high emotional IQ"? Sorry, but I would prefer the guy who was in the Six Sigma Society.

I have a hypothesis about the ancient empires and civilizations and what led to such rapid advancements in architecture, engineering, math, etc.

My hypothesis is that all of the great civilations discovered selective breeding. They had earlier used selective breeding to create better dogs, horses, food plants, etc.

By purposely breeding children with higher intelligence and the character traits associated with accomplishment, those civilizations created large empires and the magnificent achievements that we still see today.

While I would never approve of the government forcing eugenics programs on the population (the success of the government in running any enterprise is replete with failures), I think it is very important for people to consider what kind of children a union will create.

This is a serious choice that every person has to make when contemplating bringing children into the world. Wanting the best life for your children includes wishing them good health and intelligence that will make success possible in the 21st century.

BTW, I gurantee that the Chinese government and culture value IQ. I guarantee that they see a more intelligent population as a competitive advantage.

They are not burdened with political correctness.

Just imagine what they can do using IVF and genetic testing!

Thinking. Thinking makes a person smart.

Smart people think. They think about everything, every action, and every possible reaction it may produce. Then they weigh their actions to follow the path of the reaction they want. Smart people know how to mold themselves and the people around them to go down paths they choose. Smart people are always 10 steps ahead, they know when to turn, and can adapt at a moments notice if there is an obstacle.



Stupid people simply do. They dont think. They dont think about anything. They just do. They are the equivalent of livestock. Any and every obstacle makes them grind to a complete stop. They dont know when to turn, and can't see 10 steps ahead.
