Starting next month, I will be farming. My small acre farm is not going to support my whole family, so I'm going farming in Nebraska. The farm has natural springs, so I wont run out of water. It's been a producing farm/ranch for over a hundred years. This is my retirement. It sounds like a lot of work for a retired guy, but it will be worth it.

They could change rule to allow them to receive free rice and beans. Or go to your churches and encourage them to inky give rice and beans. Think people are irritated that middle class can't afford beef but people on Snaps can.

We can only hope, it would be galling to have Obama leave an economy better than the one Bush left. Granted, being on the verge of food riots in 2009 puts the bar a little on the low side.

This tactic could eventually implemented as a half-assed move to help forestall future food price inflation, but I am not sure the timing is right nor does the huge list of exceptions indicate that they are serious about cutting the program for real.

So like every other thing that the government does I can't figure out the motivation - why now?
