Poor people are loud because they feel "small" so in order to take up more space and achieve a higher "status" they are loud. They feel their voices are "small" and that they don't matter so they literally shout to feel "big". Very similar to the Napoleon Complex. Or the idiots in crappy cars who get rims and blast their music far beyond an enjoyable level. It's all about the status. People who are intimidated by you talk bad about you with hopes that others won't find you so appealing.
