Isn't there a problem with the corporate world if you need toxic substances(caffeine, alcohol) to keep you performing at a corporate job?

Is there any upsides to working other then the freedom it brings in the form of useless currency money used to buy shit you do not ever need(not even food)

Everytime i lay off these drugs i can't withstand being at work and i need to call in sick which is why i don't dare try it again because otherwise i will loose my job. The sobriety seems to bring to me a vision of how life and emotions really are inside the real me. Drugs just mask it so i can endure 8 hours of stupid shit.

Been saying this, but I think work is still important. A long time ago we literally worked to survive (farming, milling, hunting), now we work with no goal in mind other than buying the new iPhone or chaining yourself to a new car lease.

Add refined sugar to that list..

We work to gain access to controlled resources instead of like in the olden days you worked and you received what you put out. This is all obvious.

Would like to be able to be at work 100% sober and not feel like i am being put to death with boredom. Working is extremely boring when you are sober it just can't be put into words how boring it feels.

You do know that alcohol and coffee were major elements of world wide trade hundreds of years ago, before corporations exited?
