Re: Woman lies about heartbreaking Walmart shopping experience
My mother committed suicide.

So in despair i did the extreme thing of going to church rather than turning to drugs or grog for once.

I was there for about 10 minutes when a pastor walked up and asked me what the matter was.

I told him what happenned...he looked at me in shock and said my mother was at that moment burning in hell screaming her lungs out.

Never trusted..or talked to a pastor since.

If you are in pain....never go to church...it only adds despair and fear to an already unbearable siruation.

Although if you have money to give they are all smiles.

Hey, just so you know that is not true but a common misunderstanding. If she was a Christian she can be forgiven. That priest will pay for saying that if he has not sincerely repented.

That's bull-de-sheyott. The bible doesn't even condemn suicide. Sampson committed suicide along with mass homicide.
 Quoting: Thyrique

And don't forget that we have no idea the anguish Judas was going through just before he hung himself- much less the conversation he had with God.

Suicide is an issue between man and God. It's nobody else's right to judge.

What a sick man.

A sick man charged with the spiritual teachings of a congregation. It's no wonder why so many of those going to church eventually give it up.
 Quoting: Zuzu

I was in such pain after my mothers death that I started going to a born again type church. While in a bible study group I confessed concern as to where my mother was and I was told, because she was not born again that she would be in hell but I shouldn't worry about it because Jesus would wipe every tear from my eye.
That was my last day there. My mother was so much a better person than the old cow that told me that.
It took me a long time to find my way back to the Lord after that.

Some religious people are so stuck up and callus.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 55188330

On behalf of the other group of Christians who get dragged into the pile with the a $$holes- this is what I tell ANYONE that has lost a loved one - I think God is merciful, and I am of the belief that God is with people in their final moments. And who are any of us to know any different? Suicide is not the unforgivable sin and it kills me when people treat it as such. Drug addicts don't go to hell for not beating their addictions, and those who take their own lives don't go to hell for not being able to climb out of their despair. God is near to the broken hearted. And mercy always triumphs.
And any of you self righteous fundies who want to call me out on that, go ahead. Because you have no right to say whether a person is in hell or not, you don't get to judge and you most certainly are not put here to rob a person of their hope. I will always, always err on the side of love and mercy.

It's creepy because I honestly do have the feeling a lot of people get off to the idea of people burning in this "lake of fire".

There's a lot of reasons I'm happy I'm not religious at all and that's one of them.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70980822

Your not wrong! I can remember one particular service where during prayer the pastor's wife began asking that certain types of people burn in the eternal lake of fire. With her eyes closed in ... "prayer voice?" she went on about how they would burn, that it was God's will that the flesh melt from there bones, she went on and on. It was like she was reciting from a Steven King novel! The worst part about it though was the look of pure bliss on her face, the tension in her body and the tremble in her voice. It was indeed as if she were getting some type of thrill from the images playing in her mind. I never returned.
 Quoting: Zuzu

Smart move. I really wish everybody had stood up and left that church while she was having orgasms about hell. "This isn't the place to be, this bitch is out of her mind!" is what I would've been thinking.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70980822

You would think that everyone would, but it was just the opposite. I'll likely be struck down for saying this about a church but at the time I actually had the thought that this must be what an orgy sounds like. I know that's terrible but I really did think it. The whole time she's uhm.. "praying" the rest of the congregation is joining in with, "yes, God, yes", "oh God, make it so", and other such pleas. After the orgy thought I began to think of studies I've read about mass hysteria and that I was seeing it played out right before my eyes. What I found to be very alarming was that the friend I was attending with was caught up as well. I new him to be a very sensible, kind person. In truth rather reserved in his behavior. I guess you just never really know.
 Quoting: Zuzu

Clearly you go or went to a church with wolves in sheeps clothing, this is a classic. What was the denomination of that church?

From the sound of it I'd guess pentecostal, probably Assemblies of god, same crew that false prophet Benny Hinn comes from. That stuff has been fake from the start.

I'd guess the OZ-helltard went to a similar one.

If the person suiciding was saved they're saved.

Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Joh 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

see?
Just because you do a sin when you are saved you don't lose your salvation, even killing yourself.

The point is you have to be saved.
The point is you have to believe that he saves you, if you don't believe that he will not interfere in your choice to not believe, that's your choice.

And if you pick that choice you have to pay for your own sins, we who are saved, he pays for our sins, we are pardoned of past, present and future sins.

And if we screw up what will happen is like in the church in Corinth with a dude doing incest for example:
1Co 5:1 ¶ It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
1Co 5:2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
1Co 5:3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
1Co 5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
1Co 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

His flesh gets destroyed.
Our sins are our crimes, and crimes have to be punished one way or another, either you pay for your sins or Jesus pays for your sins, choice is yours.

[link to biblebelievers.com]

that's the problem most of you have, you're too prideful to ask for pardon for your sins, you're insisting in having to pay them for yourself, it's kinda like all these religious people that insist that their good works buy their way into heaven (see the ladders in the picture...):
only1door

it's basically you realizing you're a sinner deserving punishment for your crimes (sins), being sorry for them and asking Jesus to pay for your sins or the prideful way of insisting on paying for them yourself. Or the one many religious do is thinking their good works will blot out their crimes, like going to a judge and saying "Well your Honour I admit I did murder that guy but look at all these I did not murder, these are many more good works than just that guy I murdered so they should really blot out that murder I did"

They updated the news story at 5:20 p.m. with a different version of the story than what was originally posted.

Now Walmart says the event never happened:

"Wal-Mart told the Colorado Springs station that the company has spoken with the cashier and that his mother is alive.

"The company also told KRDO that it reviewed surveillance video from the store. It did not find evidence of any yelling, or that Yore hugged the cashier.

"There was some tension between the cashier and the customer in front of Yore, the Wal-Mart spokesperson said, but it was due to a language barrier."

Re: Woman lies about heartbreaking Walmart shopping experience
Thank you OP for posting the video reminder of what's required to be HUMAN.With things in life becoming more synthetic,trans-humanized (theythink),pressured, and rushed many people are caught up in that WEB,and make the INCONSEQUENTIAL important.
My heart breaks for that kid- Because of the PURPOSEFUL destruction of family in the US,this country has a LOT of lonely, desperate people in it,especially THIS time of year.

As for the PAULIANS (they THINK they follow Yashua-NOT)I have NEVER met a more ignorant, judgmental, hateFUL,uppity group than these types. Yashua DETESTED organized groups-he knew how they would evolve and become corrupted like the Rabbinical Council who were out to get him for his truth. He NEVER would have said someone was going to hell fire for suicide."I have come to teach you life ABUNDANT" so you will go to hell fire if you mis-step? RIGHT. What a CROCK of BRAINWASHING SHIT.Their is NOTHING HOLY about the bible, unless it's full of holes for a very DARK AGENDA.There are MANY versions of the BLACK BOOK of PREDICTIVE PROGRAMMING/SPELLS. I detest ALL religions-you don't NEED a frickin PRIEST or PASTOR/MINISTER. The KINGDOM is WITHIN.

Please everyone pray for this kid and all others and for the comfort and healing of his mother.

WHAT DREAMS MAY COME is a very good movie about death/suicide topic,
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70946041

What you've written is surely food for thought. Rather the story ends up to be true or not it is still a reminder to be as you said. "human". There are people out there hurting every day and just a kind word or even a hug can mean the world to them.

As far as the church I agree with much of what you've said. Corruption is rampant. Scripture has been historically manipulated for the purpose of control and more often than not the brainwashing begins so early in life that many don't even consider that they can question what they've been taught.

BTW, I loved What Dreams May Come but it just takes me to a very dark place since Robin Williams suicide. I don't think I'll ever be able to watch it again.

Similar experience here, f'ing JW's literally all stood up and walked out leaving me alone with my mother alone. All these years later I still remember crying beside my deceased mom and so ashamed to look behind me as I can hear them all walking out en mass. Never ever under any circumstances consult any church. When I finally turned around after the big doors closed the room was completely empty save me. It was the most bewildering and absolutely cruel cruel statement to make to a young adult that just lost a parent. I fucking hate those useless bastards. rant-off
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70974819

To add to these terribly sad stories...when my own son killed himself(never liked that word committed and neither did he in reference to 'being' committed), not a single one of his close family questioned why. We all knew. He was tortured daily by his own mind and monsters living inside. I was raised Jdub, and of COURSE my own folks had to remind me their feelings on the subject. They rarely visited their g'kids because they, like me, were not jdubyas anymore. In my grief, I got what I thought was a comforting call, and instead it turned into a sermon that HE was ok, but I would never see him because I was baptized but not practicing. Really? Fuck all that noise. Now I don't know what to believe, and I keep open about many thoughts and philosophies on life after death and even it being the bitter end. But to be cruel is so completely different than just saying the wrong thing when someone dies. I hear yall...and these people are clueless. I know one thing, He's not suffering anymore. I guess that's why they call us survivors.
 Quoting: KonaCoffee

I can not tell you how sorry I am about what you've been through, I know those words sound hallow but I have no other words that are an appropriate response for the grief you have endured. I can imagine nothing worse than a parent losing their child. I.. I just wish that such a thing hadn't happened to you. The fact that those who should have given you comfort only compounded your pain infuriates me! How dare they do such a thing? I would never wish that pain on anyone but if they are faced with the anguish that you have lived I wonder what their response would be to such comments. Would their beliefs suddenly change?

I know that my own beliefs mean squat having no religious text to back them up but I know, with all my heart I know that you will be with your boy again. I truly believe that the love of a mother for her child is to strong a bond to be broken even by death. You are tied to one another by that bond and it will be that binding that brings you back together.

I hope that you can find joy in this life and know that you will have joy in your next, your son by your side.hf

Playing Possum is correct. It has been found that the woman's story was just that, a story. What a sick individual Ms Yore must be to fabricate such a thing.

I fully admit that I was taken in and believed this story myself. I'm sorry to have posted misinformation but I had no idea that it was.

Even though the story has proven to be false we can still learn something from the facts. Any given day we interact with a multitude of strangers. Some of them might seem a bit off. Maybe they are having a problem doing their job and are therefore inconveniencing us. Are they simply incompetent or is there something more happening. You never know what the person across the counter from you is going through and it could very well be a situation like this fictitious young man was imagined to have been faced with. I kind word and smile cost us nothing but could be invaluable to the one we give it to.

To the individual who has proclaimed me Antichrist, thank you for informing me. It seems that I have much to do in order to get this Armageddon moving along. I wish you'd told me sooner as I hate waiting until the last moment to get things done.

Seriously though, I am not anti Christ. I am not anti God, anti faith or even entirely anti religion. What I am is anti BS. I am anti false church and teachings. I am against using scripture to torment, manipulate, bully or scam people. I am against churches that rather than nurture the spirit spend their time creating ways to fleece the wallet. I am against pastors that use their position to intimidate and cause harm. And most of all I am against the evil that people perpetrate in the name of God.

Let them curse and wear it like a badge of honor! They know that the only way to impede truth is to discredit the one providing it. I've seen it myself where a person that questioned church teachings was labeled as possessed with a spirit of destruction and lies. I hope you will always have the passion to speak out about the wrongs done in Gods name. Many will close their ears to it but you can be sure that at least a few will hear you and consider it. Respect to you for doing the right thing.hf

Let me make it clear that I am not saying that this type of thing goes on in every church out there. only that it happens in far to many. If questioning the teachings is met with anger or intimidation it is an enormous red flag that you are not in a true place of God.

A sobering reminder that you never know what other people are going through. It's always better to take a step back before berating someone who's day might be going far worse than your own.

Woman’s heartbreaking Walmart shopping experience

"And then the young cashier broke down.

“He comes around the bagging area and he just hugs me. I’m weirded out and I hug him back and he’s sobbing,” Yore said.

Yore said she continued to console him, and he stopped and said that his mother had committed suicide earlier in the morning.

She said he said, “I have to work because I have to pay our rent, and I have to pay our bills. And I don’t even have a mom anymore. And this lady is just yelling at me.”

Yore said the woman was completely humiliated in front of everyone for the way she had treated the boy as he continued to cry."

 Quoting: Zuzu

that woman is called 'Paige Yore'.....unusual name I thought.....she is or was an Assistant Rodeo Coach at the Colorado Northwestern Community College:
[link to athletics.cncc.edu]
'Yore also was nominated for Coach of the Year in the Rocky Mountain Region in 2015.'....well who'd had thunked it......what a fooken surprise......
Aslo she has a degree in Public Relations.....ffs....
'Yore uses her knowledge of the sport, networking, and her degree in Public Relations to its fullest ability with her student athletes.'

hmm......smacks of an agenda to me.
Which Wallmart was it? where is the location and the surname of 'Peublo' the Mexican?? Very handy that this 'young lad' with such a tragic tale of woe is probably an immigrant...
hmm....
is she a Democrat?

If you are in pain....never go to church...it only adds despair and fear to an already unbearable siruation.

Although if you have money to give they are all smiles.

A pastor would never say that. I am calling bullshit.

Re: Woman lies about heartbreaking Walmart shopping experience
Why is everyone saying what a wonderful lady and so caring this Mrs. Yore is..and how Wal-Mart is so horriable for doing that to the young cashier...

Am I the only one who read where the boys mother is alive and Mrs. Tore lied about the whole thing?... Please read the whole article before spouting off about how wonderful she is..

Most of the positive post were written before the story was revealed to be a sham. The link from the news site that I originally posted is different from what you see now. The news site updated the story when they became aware of the fraud.

When I found out I changed the thread title from "Woman's heartbreaking Walmart shopping experience" to "Woman lies about heartbreaking Walmart shopping experience" and updated my original post with the accurate information. I think this is where the confusion is coming from. I'm sorry that it was not clear.hf

I guess I'm the odd ball here. Had the story went down as it was originally told (although we now know that it didn't) and the kid had been as she described him as being about 16 and sobbing terribly. I think I would likely ignore my better judgment and hugged him. My son is around that age and well.. like I said, I would be acting contrarily to my better judgment. Now had he been a grown man I'd feel quite differently. Please understand that I'm in no way trying to show negativity to anyone who would not have hugged. Everyone has their individual sense of boundaries and different comfort levels. My occasional lack of them might very well get me killed some day.

I don't think what he said had anything to do with being a feminist. To begin with, some woman simply do not feel comfortable being touched by people they do not know. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Although I'm sure that you will disagree with me on this there are many woman that can beat a man. It has nothing to do with feminism either, it has to do with training in self defense. I am a little 4'8" woman that has taken down and temporarily disabled a 6 foot something man. Now I'm not trying to pretend that I did any permanent damage to him nor did I beat him up but I did hurt him enough to afford my escape. I don't worry to much about that anymore though, I live in an open carry state and I take full advantage of that law.
