question about getting jobs and employers checking work history
Are employers able to easily see your work history?

I've been getting conflicting answers from family.

I worked at a fast food place for 2 months when I was 17 (I'm now 20) and I kinda left on bad terms.

Second job was very short lived, failed a UA.

Now I'm clean and need a job. I do have my GED and good computer skills....

most employers now use background checking agencies

like "intelius"

they look for bankrupticies, crime,
bad credit, etc.

There are agencies that can clean
your whole record for a fee.
They are owned and operated by jueus
and mostly assist jeues who need
to apply for mottgages or permits.

They are not cheap and go by how
messed up the record is.

2 jobs, short term since you were 17 and your now 20?

Shouldn't you be trawling through the small adds and employment opportunities instead of trying to cover up your lazy past and whining on GLP about a failed drug test?

Plenty of employers will give a second chance if you are honest and keen and can show a good attitude. Just get your ass out there.

For three mos I have been filling out applications and am over qualified
but have bad credit due to family misfortunes . There is NO consideration
as to why one went into bad cred.
I had 50k limit a few yrs earlier.
THAT DOESNT COUNT.

Have now at 69 yrs of age picked up
an application for McDonalds.

There is a report that shows only
negative stuff and I never believed in time payments so saved up and bought
cash total for cars and other.
Even had an immigrant jeue ridicule me for never buying on credit !!

NO PROOF I ever kissed the gods of usury so am bad bet now and age is not
a blessing tho I am more aware than
any employee any of them have now !

Life is struggle, It will get worse till
all of us UNITE and take our world out of the hands (claws) of the Intnl.Bankers.

Your best move is to get a crappy job
and build good relations with bosses
then say you have to move so far you can't work THERE anymore and will they give you a recommendation for your next employer. They will.

Use THAT to move up. Do it for a couple of years and learn what you are good at and plan to set yourself up doing for yourself or with people who like and do well what you do well.

I wish you well. Keep your head in a positive place.

Re: question about getting jobs and employers checking work history
OP,

Continue to apply to jobs. Apply to whatever you think you qualify for. Don't bring up your failed urine analysis test. If it comes up, you can claim they made a mistake (UA is a very poor test and most attorneys can shoot holes in the results) and that you were fired without being allowed to give your side of the story. You're clean now so if it becomes an issue you can always say "feel free to test me today."

Sooner or later someone will hire you.

You say you're good with computers? Excellent. Get certifications - they look fantastic on a resume and not all tech employers drug test.

Keep the faith bro and good luck to you.
