I figure when consumer spending tightens.. (which it already has) but when it begins to be felt in the economy (3 months) things could get pretty bad out there.. by this time next year the headlines on the news will be "record foreclosures" "the next great depression" etc..

the only thing that will avert this.. (maybe) and we all know it's coming... is WORLD WAR...

then all bets are off

at which point I want to be as liquid as possible...

because when the shit hits the fan it will be those who can adapt that will survive..

those who stick to the old status quo will perish in the war machine

You're right - liquid is good. And BTW - I'm in big-ticket consumer goods - consumer spending IS off - nobody's talking about it too much yet, but it's way down..
