look in the dictionary:
dis·en·chant·ed
"freed from illusion or false belief"
sounds good to me!
funny how you always hear it in a negative sense of the word.
To me, feeling disillusioned and such is a step on your way to enlightenment and true happiness...

Morton H. Blumenthal:
"The control we have over this life element and self consciousness we possess of being this one element, (when a physical body and brain no longer divides self from an outside world, but a fourth dimensional viewpoint enables us to know life only in its oneness), the individuality and control we maintain in and over this one life essence when we change at death to self consciously become it in its more elemental state, depends upon the power of will we develop to contrive it in its manifested form, i.e. of our control over our sensations and desires, and of our inner potential development to become able to express in terms of creations outside of ourselves, our higher emotions.
If we become dominated by a physical environment our self conscious individuality becomes weakened, and we, upon change into the elemental state, are weak in our control over the life oneness that we become dimly self aware of being, and becomes lost in it, as though wandering about in a chaotic fog only to be materialized again without spiritual progress of understanding the one element of creation.
On the other hand if we obtain self control, self mastery, in our environment of the home, business, social world, etc., (i.e. overcome its world), then we become not dimly self conscious of being the one from a fourth dimensional viewpoint, but powerfully self conscious of being it, and of being able to use it to express our higher dimensional selves, to mentally know ourselves to be it and to push out upon it to create of it; to express to our fourth dimensional ideas and retained ideals what we then think and want it to become.
We are either mentally weak and thus dimly self conscious, or mentally strong and thus powerfully self conscious, of our individual existence in this and as this One.
Your ability to use this One to create with us a projected expression of yourself, is according to the development of mental power or weakness while in the physical form of man, in which form a physical body and mind automatically divides life into our inner selves and an outside world, and thus allows us mentally to develop the power to do this for our mental selves when not in physical form.
If we do not take advantage of this opportunity, the fourth dimensional
viewpoint of the elemental state of life we assume after death, does not afford any further opportunity for this particular development; for in physical form alone are we enabled to obtain that mental development that enables us to know ourselves to individually be the elemental One. To use it to express our individuality, to be the controlling factor in its creative operation, and know ourselves to be that which God is and ourselves be, from the higher dimensional viewpoint, brilliantly self aware of being that." Accept now that all you have seen from the day of your birth on the surface of the earth, to the present, and all that you will meet here are wonderful only because the finite mind of man is confused with fragments of evidence, that, from whatever direction we meet them, spring from an unreachable infinity. |

I know what you mean. I was just thinking the same thing about the word "self-centered" the other day. Being self-centered is actually a positive thing, but people often confuse it with being selfish or concerned only with themselves. |

He was so bald he had no eyebrows. The local grub was a pasty bland gruel and homemade hooch more akin to cleaning fluid than single malt scotch.
In many ways, the red pill sucks. And in no way could your decision be otherwise. You know the reasons. |
