Many years ago when helping a lady clean out a stable, I had a field day killing rats with the help of the neighbor's rat terrier. He did all the killing - I just dug up holes after they got exposed.

5 hours and 60 rats! It was a blast (and I don't normally kill anything).

people have lived with cats for thousands of years. without cats civilization would not of developed and would of fallen apart at times of natural disaster, as cats gave us ability to store grain for long periods of time to fight famine.

Cats are civilizations best friends they should be treated well. Toxoplasmosis is not in all cats and it isnt something that is proven to have any effect on the mind.

The person who wrote the article sounds mostly upset that the cats were preying on small creatures.

It only causes problems if you have other infections or are immune compromised.


You can have your cats blood tested to see if they are infected and then get them treated. Not a big dealio.

It can be caused by a cat scratch but more likely from changing litter boxes without a careful way of breathing so you do not inhale the dust from it. Gloves or wash hand, mask or bandana will do.

If a cat scratches you clean it with peroxide until it stops bubbling.
