You have all heard how important it is to wash your hands often, for many illnesses are transmitted through the hands. But this should not be limited to the physical plane. Each person also transmits through their hands emanations from their psychic life, their thoughts, feelings and wishes. Each line of the hand is like a riverbed with water of varying degrees of purity flowing in it, and it is rare to find hands through which only crystalline waters flow. For pure life to flow through our hands, washing them often is obviously not enough, but while we put our hands in the water it can help if we mentally try to raise ourselves to the regions where the spiritual waters flow.
