She is pretty and poised, but why label her an African American? She's obviously a mixed raced citizen of the USA-- unless you've got some knowledge that she was born in Africa and came here later as a legal citizen.

I wish I could go back in time to days before the term 'African American' became popular. Being from the South, black people refer to themselves as black. I don't refer to myself as an Irish American/Native American simply because my great grandfather immigrated here from Ireland and banged an Apache woman. I'm just a white chick, or a mutt at best.
